LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM The 118th National Awakening Day (Hari Kebangkitan Nasional/Harkitnas) was commemorated in a solemn and dignified ceremony held at the inspection field of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Regent's Office, located on Jalan Lintas Sumatera Kotapinang–Gunung Tua, Sosopan Village, Kotapinang District, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

The ceremony was led by Deputy Chief of Police of Labuhanbatu Selatan, Kompol Moch Guntur Pryantoko, who represented Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham. The event proceeded in an orderly and ceremonial manner, reflecting strong national symbolism and discipline among participants.

In his address, Kompol Moch Guntur Pryantoko emphasized that the spirit of National Awakening should not only serve as a reminder of Indonesia's historical struggle but also be actively reflected in today's public service and civic responsibility.

"The spirit of National Awakening must become a positive force for all citizens and government officials to continue working, serving, and preserving national unity. Awakening starts from small things—discipline, care, and dedication to society," he stated.

The event was attended by Deputy Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan Syahdian Purba Siboro, Danramil 11/Kotapinang Major Inf Hendra Gunawan, representatives from the Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Regional Secretary, as well as leaders from regional government agencies, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and other invited guests.

The Deputy Police Chief also highlighted the importance of synergy between the government, military, police, and society in maintaining security and supporting regional development. He stressed that the spirit of national awakening today must be realized through cross-sector collaboration to build a safe, progressive, and competitive region.
