LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Narcotics Unit of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police has arrested two suspected drug dealers in Suka Makmur Hamlet, Sabungan Village, Sungai Kanan Subdistrict, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at around 4:30 p.m. local time. Authorities also seized approximately 99.34 grams of crystal methamphetamine (locally known as sabu).
The operation was launched following a public complaint submitted through the Dumas Presisi reporting system, which alerted police to suspected drug activity in the area.Public Tip Triggers Swift Police Action

The intelligence-driven response allowed officers to quickly identify and track the suspects in the Sungai Kanan area.

The suspects were intercepted while riding a black Yamaha NMax motorcycle. Police officers moved in and detained both individuals at the scene without incident before conducting a search.

Police also confiscated several items believed to be linked to drug distribution activities, including an iPhone XR, a red notebook, IDR 700,000 in cash, and the motorcycle used by the suspects. From the second suspect, EHS alias Hamdan, officers seized a Realme smartphone.

According to the investigation led by AKP Sahat Marulam Lumbangaol, Head of the Narcotics Unit at the Labuhanbatu Selatan Police, the suspects allegedly obtained the drugs from an individual identified by the initials SBS alias Ipul, based in Rantauprapat.
"Based on public information, we were able to quickly identify and arrest the suspects. The investigation is ongoing," AKP Sahat said.Police Continue Hunt for Suspected Supplier
