MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM – North Sumatra Governor, Bobby Nasution, together with Deputy Governor Surya, received Asahan Regent Taufik Zainal Abidin Siregar at the North Sumatra Governor's Office in Medan on Monday (May 18, 2026). The meeting focused on accelerating infrastructure development in Asahan Regency, particularly road construction, education facilities, and maritime security in the coastal area.
Road Infrastructure Becomes Key PriorityBobby Nasution reaffirmed the provincial government's commitment to promptly reviewing development proposals submitted by the Asahan Regency administration. A technical team will first conduct field assessments before projects are implemented.

He also emphasized the importance of on-site evaluations to ensure accurate planning and high-quality implementation. "We will conduct field checks first to understand the actual conditions. If possible, implementation could begin this year," he added.

Asahan Regent Taufik Zainal Abidin Siregar highlighted several priority projects, including the improvement of the Batu Pane road. The 2.5-kilometer road section is considered vital for local economic activity.
"This road is very important for the community. Its poor condition has significantly hampered economic activity in the area," Taufik explained.
