BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – The government of Aceh Province has officially declared a post-emergency transition status following hydrometeorological disasters. The policy aims to accelerate rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts across affected regions.
The decision was announced by Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah during a virtual coordination meeting on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026. The meeting was attended by the Aceh Police Chief, representatives of the Iskandar Muda Military Command, and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).90-Day Transition Status Officially Enforced

"We have set the extension of the disaster management transition status for 90 days, effective from April 28 to July 30, 2026," he stated.

In his directive, the deputy governor—widely known as "Dek Fad"—urged all regional working units (SKPA) and relevant stakeholders to implement six key priorities.
The main focus includes the full completion of emergency infrastructure repairs, such as roads, bridges, rivers, and other facilities at national, provincial, and district levels.The government is also accelerating the construction of temporary shelters (Huntara) and the distribution of essential aid, including electricity and clean water for affected residents.

Aceh authorities reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining social protection for displaced residents and affected communities.
At the same time, the provision of land for permanent housing (Huntap) is being prioritized as part of the long-term recovery strategy for disaster victims.Fadhlullah also emphasized the importance of strengthening disaster preparedness to anticipate possible aftershocks or secondary impacts.
