BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM - Batam Class IIA Correctional Facility participated in a virtual joint assembly organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Legal Affairs, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correctional Affairs (Kemenko Kumham Imipas). The activity was attended by all employees of Lapas Batam as a commitment to strengthening discipline, improving cooperation, and enhancing the quality of public services for the community.

The virtual joint assembly became an important moment for all employees under the authority of Kemenko Kumham Imipas to strengthen coordination and reinforce collective commitment in carrying out government duties. Secretary General of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Novita Ilmaris, served as the assembly leader and delivered important directives regarding discipline, integrity, and improving the performance of civil servants.

Joint Assembly Strengthens Civil Servant Discipline

In her address, Novita Ilmaris stated that the morning assembly was not merely a routine activity, but also served as a means to strengthen discipline, increase work motivation, and build a shared sense of responsibility among all civil servants in carrying out their duties.

She emphasized that every civil servant must continue to prioritize integrity and professionalism, particularly in providing services to the public. Public services must be delivered quickly, accurately, and with friendliness while focusing on public satisfaction, with the ASN BerAKHLAK values serving as the guiding principles.

In addition to strengthening work discipline, the assembly leader also reminded all employees about the importance of National Children's Day. This special occasion serves as a reminder that every child has the right to education, protection, and opportunities for optimal development.

Especially for correctional officers, Novita urged employees to continue paying special attention to fulfilling the rights of children and adolescents under their care in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Lapas Batam Encouraged to Improve Performance Evaluation

In her further remarks, Novita Ilmaris highlighted the importance of conducting analysis and evaluation (Anev) for July as an instrument to manage programs and assess organizational performance. Through this process, all work units are expected to objectively evaluate achievements, challenges, and necessary improvement measures.

Regular evaluations are an essential part of ensuring that work programs are implemented effectively while improving service quality and organizational accountability. All work units were encouraged to develop improvement strategies so that the implementation of duties in the upcoming period can be carried out more optimally.

Furthermore, all employees were instructed to support various activities commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Each work unit is expected to install independence-themed decorations, maintain workplace cleanliness, and actively participate in national celebration activities. This is considered an expression of appreciation for the nation's struggle and an effort to strengthen national awareness.
