First Day of School at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame Filled With Joy and Motivation

LABUHANBATU UTARA | INDATANEWS.COM- The 2026/2027 academic year officially began on Monday, July 14, 2026, at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame, Kualuh Hulu District, Aek Kanopan, Labuhanbatu Utara Regency, North Sumatra. The first day of school was marked by enthusiasm, excitement, and a positive atmosphere as both newly enrolled students and returning students from higher grades entered the classroom with great motivation.

The first day of school represents an important milestone for the entire school community in creating a safe, comfortable, friendly, and encouraging learning environment. At the same time, the school used this moment to help new students adapt to their new surroundings through the Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) program.

MPLS Helps New Students Adapt to Their New School Environment

The MPLS program is conducted over several days, from Monday, July 13, 2026, to Thursday, July 16, 2026. During the program, students are introduced to various school facilities while also building their first connections with teachers and new classmates.

Teacher at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame, Sri Wahyuni Pohan, S.Pd., explained that the MPLS activities for first-grade students primarily focus on introducing them to the school environment. The main objective is to help children feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed from their very first day.

According to her, the school aims to create a pleasant atmosphere so students can see their school as a second home where they feel secure and motivated to learn.

Through the program, students are introduced to different areas of the school, including classrooms, the teachers' room, the principal's office, the school canteen, and other facilities. This introduction is expected to build students' confidence and make their transition into elementary school easier.

"We hope the children can quickly adapt to their new environment so they feel safe, comfortable, and motivated at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame," Sri Wahyuni Pohan said on the school grounds.

She added that new students do not immediately follow regular lessons during MPLS. Instead, teachers prepare various educational and enjoyable activities that are suitable for the children's age and development.

The students participate in group singing, games, introduction sessions, and social activities with their classmates and teachers. This approach is designed to strengthen their confidence and encourage a positive attitude toward learning from the beginning of their educational journey.

"During MPLS, we do not immediately start regular lessons. Instead, the children sing, play, and learn how to interact with one another. Through these activities, a positive awareness of learning gradually develops," she explained.

New Students Begin Their Journey With Great Enthusiasm

The excitement of the new elementary school students was clearly visible on their first day. With curiosity and enthusiasm, they actively participated in MPLS activities together with teachers and their new friends.

One of the new students, Joy Brianna Siahaan, said she was very happy to experience her first day at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame. The graduate of TK Kembang Melati kindergarten expressed her excitement about beginning a new chapter in her education.

"I am very happy because today is my first day of school, and after kindergarten I have found many new friends," said Joy Brianna Siahaan.

The enthusiasm shown by the new students demonstrated that the introduction program successfully created a welcoming learning atmosphere while reducing anxiety and uncertainty commonly experienced on the first day of school.

Parents' Support Strengthens Students' Confidence

For parents, the first day of school was also a memorable moment. Since early morning, many parents accompanied their children to school to provide support as they began their educational journey.

Many families captured emotional moments when their children entered the school gate for the first time as elementary students. Pride, happiness, and excitement filled the atmosphere at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame.

One parent, Artina Pasaribu, said she intentionally accompanied her second daughter, Joy Brianna Siahaan, on her first day of school so that she would feel more confident and comfortable in the new environment.

"I accompanied my second daughter Joy Brianna Siahaan on her first day at SD Negeri 112288 Sukarame after she graduated from TK Kembang Melati kindergarten. I hope all children return to school after the long holiday with renewed motivation and greater enthusiasm for learning," said Artina Pasaribu.
