ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The 80th Bhayangkara Day celebration became a strategic moment for the Aceh Tengah Police to reaffirm the institutional commitment of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to delivering increasingly professional, humane public services and to responding concretely to the needs of the community. Under the theme "Polri for the Community," the ceremonial event was held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the parade ground of the Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters (Mako Polres Aceh Tengah).

The event was not merely an annual ceremony, but also served as a profound reflection for all police personnel to strengthen integrity, loyalty, and the quality of service to the nation and the state. The entire proceedings were conducted in an orderly and dignified manner, reflecting the strong commitment of Bhayangkara members in carrying out their duties as protectors, guardians of public order, and public service providers.

Renewal of Bhayangkara Service Spirit

Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., served as the inspector of the ceremony, which was also attended by Deputy Police Chief Kompol Samsir, S.H., senior officers, personnel, members of Brimob Company III Battalion D Pelopor of the Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh), the Bhayangkari women's organization of Aceh Tengah, and all police units.

The ceremony proceeded solemnly, beginning with the recitation of Shalawat Badar, the reading of the Tribrata code of ethics, troop inspection, and continuing with national hymns and the Indonesian National Police march. Each element of the ceremony reflected the moral commitment and spirit of service upheld by police personnel.

Reflection and Institutional Responsibility

In his address, AKBP Muhamad Taufiq emphasized that Bhayangkara Day should not merely be understood as a symbolic celebration, but as an opportunity for reflection on strengthening professionalism and integrity within the police institution.

He stressed that the theme "Polri for the Community" must be implemented in every aspect of duty. Police officers are expected to consistently ensure public safety, provide fast and high-quality services, enforce the law professionally, and guarantee fair protection for all segments of society.

"Bhayangkara Day is not only a ceremony, but a moment of reflection to strengthen integrity, enhance professionalism, and ensure that every step of police service truly benefits the community," said AKBP Muhamad Taufiq.

Dynamic Challenges Facing Law Enforcement

He further noted that the challenges faced by the police in the future will become increasingly complex due to global developments, technological advancement, and the growing diversity of criminal activities.

To address these challenges, all personnel are required to consistently implement the Predictive, Responsive, and Transparent Justice (Presisi) approach. Adaptability, responsiveness, and continuous competency development were also emphasized as essential requirements.

This transformation is seen as key to ensuring that the police remain relevant in the modern era while delivering optimal services to the public.

Collaboration and Regional Security

Beyond individual capacity building, AKBP Muhamad Taufiq also highlighted the importance of discipline, integrity, and internal cohesion within the police force. Equally important is strengthening cross-sector collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), local government, religious leaders, community figures, and all elements of society.

Such cooperation is considered crucial for maintaining stability and public order, particularly in Aceh Tengah, which has diverse social dynamics.

He also emphasized that public trust is the most valuable asset of the police and must be continuously maintained. Every officer is urged to adopt a humane approach, engage in dialogue, and act as a problem solver for the community.

Celebration and Bhayangkara Solidarity

Following the ceremony, a commemorative gathering was held to mark the 80th Bhayangkara Day. The event served as an expression of gratitude for the long service history of the police and as an effort to strengthen solidarity among personnel and the Bhayangkari organization.

The atmosphere was warm and filled with camaraderie, reflecting the strong emotional bonds within the Aceh Tengah Police institution.

The entire event proceeded safely, orderly, and without any significant incidents, underscoring the professionalism of the police in organizing large institutional ceremonies.

The 80th Bhayangkara Day in Aceh Tengah is expected to become a milestone in the continued transformation of the police into a modern, professional, and publicly trusted institution.

In line with the spirit of "Polri for the Community," the Aceh Tengah Police reaffirmed its commitment to improving public service quality, strengthening fair law enforcement, ensuring public security, and serving as a reliable partner of society. (IDCN)
