Medan Area Police Conducts Religious Social Service, Cleans Places of Worship in Medan Area and Medan Denai

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - As part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of Bhayangkara in 2026, the Medan Area Police Sector (Polsek Medan Area) carried out a religious social service (Bakti Religi) by cleaning several places of worship within its jurisdiction. The activity, held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, reflects the police's commitment to environmental care and the strengthening of harmonious relations with a multi-religious community.

The social initiative was directly led by Medan Area Police Chief AKP Muhammad Ainul Yaqin, SH, SIK, MH, accompanied by his deputy AKP Immanuel Sembiring, SH, MH, along with unit chiefs (Kanit), sub-unit officers (Panit), personnel of Polsek Medan Area, and community police officers (Bhabinkamtibmas). All participants actively took part in joint cleaning activities at several houses of worship in the Medan Area and Medan Denai districts.

Strengthening Social Responsibility of the Police

AKP Muhammad Ainul Yaqin emphasized that the religious social service is not only part of the 80th Bhayangkara anniversary program, but also a concrete expression of the police's social responsibility toward the environment and places of worship.

"This Bakti Religi activity is carried out by personnel of Polsek Medan Area as part of the 80th Bhayangkara anniversary in 2026," said AKP Muhammad Ainul Yaqin, S.H., S.I.K, M.H.

He added that the police are not only responsible for law enforcement but also play a social role in strengthening public closeness through positive and direct community engagement.

Interfaith Community Cooperation

Furthermore, Muhammad Ainul Yaqin explained that the cleaning activities were conducted simultaneously at places of worship representing different religions. This initiative reflects the spirit of tolerance and coexistence that is jointly maintained by both the police and the community.

Focus on Three Main Locations

Members of Polsek Medan Area carried out the joint cleaning at three main locations:

* Silaturrahim Mosque, Jalan Emas, Sei Rengas II Village, Medan Area District

* HKBP Church Medan Denai Resort Sukaramai, Jalan Mandala By Pass, Tegal Sari Mandala I Village, Medan Denai District

* Vihara Boga Sampada, Jalan Kapten Jumhana Gang IV, Sukaramai II Village, Medan Area District

Officers cleaned both the interior and exterior areas of the buildings, including yards, prayer rooms, and surrounding environments, to ensure a clean, comfortable, and dignified space for worshippers.

Strengthening Cooperation and Sustainability

AKP Muhammad Ainul Yaqin underlined that the initiative is not merely a one-time cleaning activity, but also an effort to deepen cooperation between the police, religious institutions, and the community.

Following the cleaning activities, the police also distributed cleaning equipment to the respective caretakers of the places of worship as a form of ongoing support for environmental maintenance.

"This activity shows that the police remain present for the community and the environment. We hope for cooperation from all parties to maintain a safe and orderly public security situation in our jurisdiction," he said.

Humanistic Approach to Maintaining Public Security

The Bakti Religi initiative also reinforces Polsek Medan Area's commitment to maintaining public order and security (Kamtibmas), not only through enforcement measures but also through a humanistic approach that directly addresses community social needs.
