ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - In commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day in 2026, the Aceh Tengah Police held a blood donation drive as part of a broader public health initiative. The humanitarian event took place on Wednesday morning, June 10, 2026, at 08:30 a.m. in the Sanika Satyawada Hall of the Aceh Tengah Police headquarters, reflecting the Indonesian National Police's ongoing commitment to community service.

The blood donation program was organized by the Health and Medical Division (Sidokkes) of the Aceh Tengah Police in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) of RSUD Datu Beru Takengon. The initiative highlights strong inter-agency cooperation in maintaining adequate medical supplies in the region.

Participants included police personnel, members of Bhayangkari Aceh Tengah, officers from Kodim 0106 Aceh Tengah, Brimob Company 3 Battalion D Pelopor, and representatives from the Aceh Tengah Transportation Agency. The wide participation underscored a shared spirit of solidarity in supporting humanitarian efforts.

120 Participants Screened, 64 Blood Units Collected

A total of 120 individuals registered for the blood donation activity. All participants first underwent medical screening and health eligibility assessments conducted by medical officers to ensure donor safety.

Following the screening process, 64 blood units were successfully collected, consisting of 25 units of blood type A, 12 units of type B, and 27 units of type O. Meanwhile, 56 participants were unable to donate due to medical considerations.

Officials emphasized that strict donor selection procedures are essential to ensure that only safe and viable blood is stored for transfusion purposes.

Police as a Partner in Humanity

Aceh Tengah Police Chief, AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, stated that the blood donation drive was not merely a ceremonial activity for Bhayangkara Day, but also a tangible expression of care for the community.

"Every drop of blood carries great meaning for someone else's life. Through this initiative, we aim to provide hope and make a real contribution to society," he said.

Supporting Regional Blood Supply Needs

All collected blood units will be handed over to the Blood Transfusion Unit of RSUD Datu Beru Takengon to help meet the fluctuating medical needs in Aceh Tengah.

The Police Chief also emphasized that Bhayangkara Day celebrations are not limited to formal ceremonies, but also include social actions that directly benefit the public.

Strengthening Social Responsibility

This initiative further highlights the role of the police not only as a law enforcement institution but also as a humanitarian partner to the community. The event also strengthened cooperation between the police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), government institutions, and the public.

With 64 blood units collected, the Aceh Tengah Police hope to contribute meaningfully to saving lives and improving healthcare services in the region. (IDNC)
