ALWASHLIYAH SCOUT CAMP 2026 IN NORTH SUMATRA SET TO OPEN: Around 2,000 Scouts from various regencies and cities across North Sumatra are expected to attend the Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit (Sako) joint camp at Singapura Land in Batu Bara Regency from 26 to 29 November 2026.

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The 2026 regional joint camp (Kemsama) organised by the Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit (Sako) in North Sumatra, Indonesia, is nearing its opening. The organising committee has completed preparations and expects around 2,000 Scouts from various regencies and cities across the province to attend.

The event, which aims to promote fellowship, character development and stronger religious values, will take place from 26 to 29 November 2026. The committee has selected Singapura Land in Batu Bara Regency as the venue. Scouts from different parts of North Sumatra will gather there for the event.

Edi Jadmiko, chairman of the Kemsama 2026 organising committee, said the team had completed all preparations for the event. These included arrangements for the programme and coordination with Scout groups from various regencies and cities across North Sumatra.

"Kemsama 2026 is not merely a camping event, but also an opportunity to strengthen fellowship, build character and develop the next generation of Alwashliyah Scout leaders throughout North Sumatra," he said.

His statement highlights that Kemsama 2026 is not limited to outdoor activities. Rather, the event is also intended to contribute to the development of young people through the Scout movement.

Fellowship and Character Development at the Heart of the Event

The organising committee sees Kemsama 2026 as an opportunity for members of the Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit to come together, strengthen solidarity and build closer relationships. The participation of Scouts from different regencies and cities across North Sumatra will allow them to get to know one another, exchange experiences and deepen connections between members of the organisation's younger generation.

The joint camp will also provide an opportunity to foster togetherness among participants from different personal and regional backgrounds. Through interaction during the event, Scouts can learn to respect differences, develop a sense of responsibility and strengthen their spirit of mutual support.

Character development is one of the event's principal objectives. The Scout movement not only teaches practical skills but also promotes discipline, independence, leadership and a willingness to serve others.

By bringing thousands of members together in one location, Kemsama 2026 aims to strengthen bonds between the organisation's young members. At the same time, the event is expected to help nurture a generation of young people with strong character who are actively involved in society.

Educational Activities and Scouting Competitions

For the four-day event, the organising committee has prepared a range of educational activities and Scouting competitions. The programme is designed to provide participants with varied learning experiences while strengthening their ability to put the values of the Scout movement into practice in everyday life.

The camp will give participants opportunities to develop their practical skills, demonstrate their abilities and improve teamwork through group activities. The Scouting competitions are intended to encourage them to give their best while learning to approach both victory and defeat in a sporting manner.

Alongside practical skills training, the committee is placing particular emphasis on moral and religious values. Strengthening religious convictions is an important part of the Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit's work. Through this approach, participants are expected not only to gain Scouting experience but also to deepen their understanding of good conduct and personal responsibility in everyday life.

The combination of educational activities, competitions and moral guidance is intended to provide all participants with a meaningful and lasting camping experience. The committee aims to make Kemsama a space for learning and personal development, where Scouts can grow both in their abilities and in their character.

Singapura Land to Host Thousands of Scouts

Singapura Land in Batu Bara Regency will serve as the main venue for the 2026 North Sumatra Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit gathering. Around 2,000 Scouts from various regencies and cities across the province are expected to assemble there.

The expected turnout reflects the strong interest in the event. The camp also provides an important opportunity to reinforce the role of the Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit as an organisation dedicated to developing young people through Scouting activities.

The organising committee hopes that all scheduled activities will run smoothly and safely. The completion of preparations provides an important foundation for an orderly event that delivers tangible benefits to participants and leaves them with positive memories.

Kemsama 2026 is intended to be more than a four-day gathering. The values of fellowship, discipline, leadership and moral responsibility that participants learn and strengthen during the camp are expected to remain part of their everyday lives after they return to their respective home regions.

With fellowship as its guiding principle, Kemsama 2026 is expected to provide fresh momentum for strengthening the Alwashliyah Scout Community Unit's younger membership in North Sumatra and nurturing a generation of young people who are strong in character, independent and willing to take responsibility for their communities.

The organising committee hopes that the event, scheduled for 26 to 29 November 2026, will proceed smoothly and safely while delivering lasting benefits to all participants. (IDNC)
