MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ As the holy month of Ramadan begins, digital activity among Indonesia's young generation has increased significantly. Many use digital platforms to plan iftar schedules, share moments of togetherness, and enjoy entertainment while waiting for the Maghrib call to prayer.

The rapid flow of information and digital content makes the ability to choose wisely more important than ever. Without proper control, technology can easily become a distraction. However, when used responsibly, it can support self-reflection and strengthen social connections during Ramadan.

Seeing this trend, Tri (3) Indonesia, a brand of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, is encouraging young Indonesians to take #PilihanBijak—or "Wise Choices"—in utilizing digital technology throughout the holy month.

Affordable Packages for Meaningful Connectivity

To support customers during Ramadan, Tri has introduced a range of products designed to keep users connected in an affordable, secure, and convenient way without losing the essence of the holy month.

One of the highlights is the Happy 65GB/28 Days data package priced at Rp100,000. The package includes additional benefits such as 10,000 minutes of free calls and SMS between Tri and IM3 numbers, a subscription to Vidio Platinum, and protection from digital threats through the Tri AI: Anti Spam/Scam feature.

Agus Sulistio, EVP–Head of Circle Sumatra at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, said Ramadan is a time to pause and focus on things that truly matter.

"As a brand close to young people, Tri understands that technology can be a tool for growth, but it can also become a distraction if not used wisely," he said.

"That is why Tri aims to be the #PilihanBijak for young people—through innovation, extra benefits, affordable connectivity, and fast network access—so they can experience a more meaningful Ramadan."

BombasTri Program Rewards Loyal Customers

In addition to promoting responsible digital use, Tri is also bringing excitement to its loyal customers through the BombasTri program.

The prize-hunting program, themed "Serbu Hadiahnya, Double Kesempatannya" (Grab the Prizes, Double the Chances), ran from September 1 to December 31, 2025. Customers could participate through the bima+ application.

The program is part of Tri's appreciation for customers who consistently use its services in their daily lives.

One of the most memorable moments took place in Medan, North Sumatra. Diko Setiansyah, a Tri customer from Deli Serdang, won the Grand Prize—a Vespa LX 125 scooter.

Company executives from Sumatra personally handed the prize to the 18-year-old winner.

Agus added that BombasTri reflects the company's way of expressing gratitude to customers who have been part of Tri's journey.

"BombasTri is more than just prizes. We want to create memorable experiences that are relevant to customers' everyday digital needs," he said.

Diko, who works as a laborer, admitted he never expected to win the grand prize.

"I'm very happy and never imagined receiving a prize from Tri. Every day I had to borrow my brother's motorcycle for work, but now I finally have my own. I'm very grateful. Thank you, Indosat Tri," he said emotionally.

Tri Brings a More Meaningful Ramadan Experience

Aligned with the spirit of #LebihBaikIndosat, Tri continues to ensure customers enjoy safe and comfortable digital experiences. The Tri AI: Anti Spam & Scam feature is automatically activated whenever customers purchase an internet package.

Beyond connectivity, Tri also created a festive Ramadan experience in Medan through the Tri Happy Fest Ramadan event held at Pekan Raya Sumatra Utara (PRSU).

The festival featured a performance by Indonesian singer IDGITAF, who performed several popular songs. Tri customers were able to attend the event for free while enjoying a variety of culinary offerings from local MSME vendors participating at the venue.

Through these initiatives, Tri aims to deliver reliable digital connectivity while creating meaningful experiences for young people—helping them stay connected, enjoy positive entertainment, and support worship and learning activities throughout Ramadan. (IDNC)
