Faculty and Student Contributions

FAI UMTS presented four programs at the conference: Islamic Religious Education (PAI), Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD), Primary School Teacher Education at Madrasahs (PGMI), and Islamic Economics (ES), both in-person and online. Eleven faculty members attended in Istanbul, led by Dean Dr. Darliana Sormin, MA, and accompanied by the Chairman of the Daily Management Board (BPH) of UMTS, Dr. Muhsana Pasaribu, MA.

"The participation of FAI UMTS in this international conference reflects our commitment to enhancing our faculty's quality and fulfilling the Tridharma of higher education, especially in research and international publications," said Dr. Darliana on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

In addition to faculty contributions, FAI UMTS students presented 16 research papers online. In total, 32 papers from the four programs were submitted and are expected to be published in international proceedings and reputable journals—a key milestone in strengthening the university's global academic presence.

International Networking and Academic Experience

The conference was officially opened by representatives from the deans of IZU and FAI UMSU and drew approximately 100 participants from diverse academic and professional disciplines. The event provided valuable academic exposure for both faculty and students.

"This event not only strengthens our international collaborations but also offers extensive academic and spiritual experiences for all participants," emphasized Dr. Muhsana.

The integration of an international conference with an Umrah pilgrimage reflects FAI UMTS's vision of combining knowledge with Islamic values. This approach represents a strategic step in enhancing higher education quality amid globalization and internationalization. (IDNC)
