BIREUEN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Bireuen Police has significantly intensified night patrols across its entire jurisdiction. The move aims to strengthen public security and enhance the sense of safety among residents, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours, which are considered more vulnerable to criminal activity.
The enhanced operations are primarily directed at combating so-called 3C crimes: Curanmor (motor vehicle theft), Curat (aggravated theft), and Curas (violent robbery). These offenses have long been regarded as highly disruptive to public order and community safety.
Bireuen Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP Dedy Miswar, emphasized that the police are not merely conducting routine patrols but implementing a structured and targeted security strategy to sustainably reduce crime rates in the region.
Internal coordination between units has also been strengthened to ensure rapid response to reports and emerging security threats. The objective is to limit opportunities for criminal activity across the Bireuen Police jurisdiction.

The URC not only conducts mobile patrols but also maintains a visible presence and engages directly with the public, ensuring that officers remain accessible at all times.
"We conduct patrols every night until the early hours of the morning. Public safety and comfort are our top priorities. If residents witness suspicious activity or become victims of crime, they should not hesitate to contact us directly or call the 110 emergency number. We will respond swiftly and decisively," said AKP Dedy Miswar.
Collaboration between law enforcement and the public is considered essential in sustaining a stable security environment and strengthening long-term crime prevention efforts.
Through continuous patrol operations and the deployment of the URC, authorities aim to create a safer and more stable environment for all residents. (IDNC)
