ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Aceh Tengah Police, through its Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA), has arrested a 21-year-old man identified by the initials MAB from Bener Meriah Regency. He is suspected of committing an offense under Aceh's Islamic criminal law (Jarimah) involving the alleged sexual harassment of a minor.
The arrest took place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at around 11:00 a.m. local time, shortly after police received a formal complaint from the victim's family.Mother's Report Triggers Police Action

The complainant is the victim's mother, a resident of Bebesen District, Aceh Tengah. Her 17-year-old daughter is alleged to have been the victim of the incident.
Incident in Lut Tawar DistrictThe alleged incident occurred on Friday, April 17, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m. inside a residential house in the Lut Tawar District, Aceh Tengah Regency. The suspect is believed to have sexually harassed the minor at that location.

Swift Police Response and Investigation
Following the report, Satreskrim Polres Aceh Tengah immediately launched an investigation and apprehended the suspect. He was taken to the PPA Unit for further questioning.During initial interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to the allegations.
