Irvan further criticized that the proceedings against Amsal Sitepu involved intimidation and undue pressure, violating the principles of a fair trial and human rights. The prosecutor's actions contravene Indonesia's 1945 Constitution, Articles 28D and 28G, as well as international human rights standards, including the UDHR and ICCPR.

Irvan described the case as an act of criminalizing civil society and creative workers."Therefore, the Attorney General must immediately remove the Chief of the Karo Prosecutor's Office, review all involved officials, and initiate an independent investigation through the Prosecutor Commission," Irvan urged.
He also noted that Mahfud MD highlighted the importance of professional law enforcement that does not compromise substantial justice."LBH Medan hopes that the Amsal Sitepu case will serve as a catalyst for a comprehensive evaluation of the Indonesian justice system, preventing similar mistakes in the future," Irvan concluded.
