FORMAL PANCASILA DAY 2026 CEREMONY: The commemoration of the Birth of Pancasila held at the Regent’s Office in Labuhanbatu Selatan, attended by Forkopimda, TNI-Polri, students, and civil society as a symbol of national unity.

LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM The spirit of nationalism and unity was strongly felt in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency as the local government held the solemn commemoration of the 2026 Pancasila Day (Birth of Pancasila) on Monday, June 1, 2026. The ceremony took place at the Regent's Office complex and was conducted in a formal and dignified atmosphere.

The event was attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), underscoring a strong commitment to reinforcing Pancasila values, maintaining national unity, and ensuring regional security and stability.

Strong Presence of Forkopimda and Community

Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham joined regional leaders in attending the ceremony, highlighting the seriousness of local authorities in embedding Pancasila principles into daily governance and public life.

The ceremony gathered hundreds of participants from various elements of society, including the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), government officials, religious leaders, traditional figures, students, and civil society organizations. Their presence reflected the diversity that forms the foundation of Indonesia's unity under Pancasila.

Syahdian Purba Siboro, Deputy Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan, served as the ceremony inspector and led the proceedings in an orderly, safe, and respectful manner. Also present were the Regional Secretary M. Reza Pahlevi Nasution, military representatives, and various agency heads.

Call to Practice Pancasila Values in Daily Life

In his address, Syahdian emphasized that Pancasila should not merely be seen as a state symbol, but must be actively implemented in political decisions and everyday behavior.

"The values of social justice must be felt by all levels of society. At the same time, we must firmly oppose intolerance and radicalism," he said, quoting remarks aligned with the national ideology agency BPIP.

The ceremony included the national anthem, flag hoisting, the Pancasila pledge, and the reading of the 1945 Constitution.

The Deputy Regent also highlighted Indonesia's global image as a nation rooted in peace, tolerance, and solidarity. The spirit of "gotong royong" (mutual cooperation) was emphasized as a cultural heritage essential for facing future economic, social, and technological challenges.

Police Chief AKBP Aditya S.P. Sembiring Muham reiterated the police commitment to maintaining public order and strengthening national awareness through Pancasila values.

The event concluded in a safe, orderly, and peaceful atmosphere, reflecting strong community cohesion and national spirit. (IDNC)
