VIRTUAL COORDINATION MEETING: Labuhanbatu Selatan Regent Fery Sahputra Simatupang and North Sumatra Governor Bobby Afif Nasution participate in a virtual discussion on transfer fund synchronization.

LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM The Government of Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency and the Government of North Sumatra Province held a coordination meeting to discuss the synchronization of transfer funds on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The meeting was conducted virtually from the Command Center of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency Office.

Labuhanbatu Selatan Regent Fery Sahputra Simatupang joined North Sumatra Governor Bobby Afif Nasution in the strategic discussion aimed at strengthening fiscal alignment between provincial and regional administrations.

The coordination focused on improving the management and distribution of transfer funds derived from provincial tax revenues, which play a crucial role in supporting regional development financing.

Governor Bobby Nasution highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and punctual disbursement of funds. He stressed that any delays or inconsistencies in transfer distribution could directly affect the execution of development programs at the regional level.

The provincial government also underlined its commitment to improving financial governance by ensuring that transfer mechanisms are more efficient and responsive to regional needs.

The meeting also addressed several technical issues, including the distribution of the Tobacco Tax Revenue Sharing Fund (Dana Bagi Hasil/DBH) for the first quarter of 2026. In addition, both parties discussed the settlement of outstanding provincial revenue transfers for fiscal years 2024 and 2025.

The provincial government presented steps to accelerate the disbursement process while providing space for regional governments to report challenges encountered in the field.

Regent Fery Sahputra Simatupang expressed his strong support for the synchronization of transfer funds, emphasizing that a clear and reliable fiscal system is essential for maintaining regional financial stability and development continuity.

He also reaffirmed Labuhanbatu Selatan's commitment to follow up on the outcomes of the coordination meeting and to strengthen cooperation with the provincial government.

The virtual meeting was attended by Regional Secretary M. Reza Pahlevi Nasution, the Regent's advisor, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappedalitbang), and the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR) of Labuhanbatu Selatan.
