Vice President Gibran and Bobby Nasution Inspect Permanent Housing in Tapanuli

TAPANULI TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka, accompanied by North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, inspected several permanent housing complexes and infrastructure facilities across the Tapanuli region on Friday, September 4, 2026. The working visit was part of a series of inspections of various facilities considered important for meeting the needs of residents and supporting infrastructure development in several areas.

Vice President Gibran arrived at Dr. Ferdinand Lumban Tobing Airport in Pinangsori District, Tapanuli Tengah Regency. Governor Bobby Nasution and Tapanuli Tengah Regent Masinton Pasaribu personally welcomed the Vice President at the airport.

Following the official reception, Gibran and Bobby Nasution continued their visit to several inspection sites. The itinerary included areas in Tapanuli Tengah Regency, Sibolga City, and South Tapanuli Regency.

The visit highlighted the government's attention to the housing conditions of residents, as well as infrastructure supporting people's daily lives and activities across the Tapanuli region. The Vice President's agenda also included visits to educational facilities.

Education Sector in Tapanuli Tengah Under Review

One of the stops on Vice President Gibran's itinerary was SMAN 1 Barus in Tapanuli Tengah Regency. There, the Vice President inspected the education sector as one of the key components of his working visit to the Tapanuli region.

The inspection of the education sector was carried out alongside other activities on the Vice President's agenda, which also covered the development of permanent housing and various infrastructure facilities. The government conducted an on-site assessment to obtain a direct overview of the existing facilities and their condition.

From Tapanuli Tengah Regency, the series of visits continued at other locations. Gibran and Bobby Nasution visited several construction and development sites spread across different parts of Tapanuli.

The agenda was not limited to a single regency. The Vice President and the North Sumatra Governor traveled from Tapanuli Tengah to Sibolga City and subsequently to South Tapanuli Regency.

Permanent Housing and Infrastructure Inspected

In Sibolga City, Vice President Gibran inspected a permanent housing complex in Aek Parombunan Urban Village. The visit was part of the government's agenda to obtain a direct assessment of permanent housing facilities provided for residents.

Gibran and Bobby Nasution then inspected the Sabo Dam in Hutanabolon Urban Village, Tukka District, Tapanuli Tengah Regency. The infrastructure facility was among the key stops on the Vice President's working visit to the region.

Inspecting various infrastructure facilities allows the government to directly assess their condition while also evaluating whether ongoing development meets actual requirements on the ground. The presence of the Vice President and the North Sumatra Governor also underscored coordination between the central and regional governments in monitoring development across the Tapanuli region.

The visit then continued in South Tapanuli Regency, where Gibran and Bobby Nasution once again inspected several permanent housing complexes in Batang Toru District.

Visit to South Tapanuli Continues

Vice President Gibran and Governor Bobby Nasution visited a permanent housing complex in Napa Village, Batang Toru District, South Tapanuli Regency. They subsequently continued their inspection at a permanent housing complex in Hapesong Baru Village, also located in Batang Toru District.

In addition to the permanent housing complexes, Gibran and Bobby Nasution inspected the Garoga Bridge in Batang Toru District. The bridge was among the infrastructure facilities included in the Vice President's working visit to South Tapanuli Regency.

The visit to the Batang Toru area showed that the agenda was not solely focused on housing facilities, but also covered infrastructure important for public connectivity and mobility. The government inspected the various facilities directly on site as part of the Vice President's working visit to the Tapanuli region.

Before concluding the series of visits, Vice President Gibran and Governor Bobby Nasution also inspected the permanent housing complex at Asrama Haji Pinangsori in Tapanuli Tengah Regency.

Overall, Vice President Gibran's working visit to the Tapanuli region covered several sectors and strategically important locations, ranging from education and permanent housing to infrastructure. The agenda covered three areas: Tapanuli Tengah Regency, Sibolga City, and South Tapanuli Regency.

The joint visit with the North Sumatra Governor also provided the government with an opportunity to directly monitor the development of various facilities that form part of regional development in Tapanuli.
