STRENGTHENING COORDINATION WITH PERTAMINA PATRA NIAGA: The Aceh Government intensifies coordination with Pertamina Patra Niaga and relevant institutions to ensure the availability and smooth distribution of subsidized BBM and 3-kilogram LPG cylinders for the public.

BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Provincial Government has taken strategic measures to ensure the availability and smooth distribution of subsidized fuel (BBM) and 3-kilogram LPG cylinders for the public. The steps were carried out through a coordination meeting involving PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, representatives of Hiswana Migas, Aceh Government Work Units (SKPA), and several relevant government institutions.

The coordination meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Government and represented by the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Aceh Provincial Government Secretariat, T. Robby Irza. The meeting was held in response to public reports regarding long vehicle queues at several fuel stations and shortages of 3-kilogram LPG cylinders in several areas across Aceh.

The Aceh Government considers the availability of subsidized energy as a fundamental public necessity that requires special attention. Therefore, the government is committed to maintaining supply stability, improving distribution systems, optimizing public services, and ensuring that subsidies are properly distributed to eligible recipients.

Aceh Government Guarantees Subsidized Energy Availability

The Assistant for Economy and Development of the Aceh Provincial Government Secretariat, T. Robby Irza, stated that the Aceh Government will continue strengthening cooperation with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, district and municipal governments, as well as all related stakeholders to maintain a balance between public demand and the availability of subsidized energy.

"We want to ensure that the people of Aceh have easy access to subsidized BBM and 3-kilogram LPG, and that supplies match actual needs. Therefore, coordination among all stakeholders must continue to be strengthened so that distribution runs smoothly and subsidies truly reach those who are entitled to receive them," Robby said.

During the meeting, the Aceh Government urged PT Pertamina Patra Niaga to maintain sufficient stocks of subsidized BBM and 3-kilogram LPG while improving distribution efficiency to fuel stations and LPG sales points. At the same time, supervision of distribution will be strengthened to prevent subsidy misuse that could harm communities in need.

As a follow-up measure, the Aceh Government will request additional quotas for Bio Solar and 3-kilogram LPG from the relevant ministries and agencies. The request for additional supplies will be adjusted according to the actual needs of communities in various regions of Aceh.

Pertamina Asked to Improve Fuel Station Services

The Aceh Government, together with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, district and municipal administrations, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant institutions, will also conduct monitoring measures on the utilization of subsidized BBM and 3-kilogram LPG. The objective is to ensure that subsidized energy is only used by consumers who meet the requirements.

In addition to ensuring stock availability, the Aceh Government requested Pertamina to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of services at fuel stations. The evaluation covers vehicle queue management, optimization of refueling processes, ensuring adequate stock availability throughout the distribution network, and strengthening operational supervision at fuel stations and LPG sales points.

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga was also asked to improve the quality of operational services at fuel stations by increasing the number of personnel at each fuel dispenser or service point, especially during peak hours. Additional staff are expected to accelerate the refueling process for subsidized fuel, improve service efficiency, and reduce vehicle queues.

The Aceh Government emphasized that vehicle queues at fuel stations must not disrupt traffic flow, public facility activities, or services provided to communities around fuel stations.

Furthermore, Pertamina was requested to submit regular reports to the Aceh Government regarding stock availability, distribution conditions, and service performance. These reports will serve as a basis for further policy decisions to maintain long-term availability of subsidized energy in Aceh.

Subsidy Distribution Control to Be Strengthened

The Aceh Government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the distribution of subsidized BBM and 3-kilogram LPG follows the principles of reaching the right targets, providing the right quantities, delivering at the right time, and ensuring fair distribution.

The government also appealed to the public to use subsidized BBM and 3-kilogram LPG according to applicable regulations. Residents are encouraged not to make excessive purchases or panic buying, as such actions could disrupt distribution balance and threaten supply availability for other consumers.

Through stronger cooperation with all relevant parties, the Aceh Government hopes to quickly resolve issues related to fuel station queues and shortages of 3-kilogram LPG cylinders. The government ensures that public energy needs remain the highest priority in every policy decision. (IDNC)
