DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Government of Deli Serdang Regency has officially dispatched the Deli Serdang Branch Scout Movement (Kwartir Cabang Gerakan Pramuka) contingent to participate in the 11th North Sumatra Regional Jamboree 2026, held at the Sibolangit Scout Camp (Bumi Perkemahan/Bumper). The provincial-level scouting event takes place from July 8 to 12, 2026.
The contingent departure ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Pancur Batu Subdistrict Square. A total of five units were sent to represent Deli Serdang Regency at one of the largest scouting gatherings in North Sumatra.The Deli Serdang contingent consists of 303 participants, 34 accompanying supervisors, 10 contingent staff members, and two contingent leaders. All members come from 22 Scout Movement branch units spread across various areas of Deli Serdang Regency.
Before taking part in the 11th North Sumatra Regional Jamboree 2026, all participants completed five training sessions at the Deli Serdang Scout Park Training Center. The training was conducted to improve participants' skills and prepare them for various activities during the jamboree.
Through the series of training sessions, participants strengthened their discipline, abilities, and teamwork within the contingent. The comprehensive preparation is expected to help them participate in all activities optimally while presenting a positive image of Deli Serdang Regency.The Regent of Deli Serdang, dr. H. Asri Ludin Tambunan, who also serves as Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Deli Serdang Scout Branch (Majelis Pembimbing Cabang/Mabicab), reminded all participants to maintain unity and togetherness throughout the jamboree.
"I hope no one feels overwhelmed and no one leaves their friends behind. Stay united as one Deli Serdang contingent. The togetherness you build is the strength of Deli Serdang as a scout-friendly regency," he said.According to him, solidarity is one of the important values that every contingent member must maintain. In addition to demonstrating their abilities in various activities, participants are also expected to show discipline, responsibility, and mutual care.
"I ask the medical team to take proactive steps. Do not wait until a problem occurs before taking action. Continue monitoring their condition because they are the future generation of our nation," he emphasized.
He explained that the young scouts participating in the jamboree have an important role as the future generation in developing the region and the country. Therefore, the health and safety of participants during the event must remain a top priority.Supervisors and trainers were also asked to continue accompanying and monitoring participants to ensure that all activities run safely and smoothly.
"I wish you success at the North Sumatra Regional Jamboree. May your participation motivate the children of Deli Serdang to become scouts as well. Fight with full dedication, show your best abilities, maintain your health and unity. Bring honor to Deli Serdang through achievements, attitude, and exemplary behavior," he concluded.
Through participation in this jamboree, the Deli Serdang Government expects participants to gain valuable experiences, broaden their perspectives, and continue developing their character as disciplined, independent, and responsible scouts.The 11th North Sumatra Regional Jamboree 2026 serves as a platform for scouts to strengthen friendships, improve skills, and promote the spirit of togetherness among scouts from various regencies and cities across North Sumatra.
