INAUGURATION OF INKINDO PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE: The Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Government, M. Nasir, opens the INKINDO Aceh Musprov XI 2026 in Banda Aceh, emphasizing the role of professional consultants in regional development.

BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM The Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Government, M. Nasir, officially opened the XI Provincial Conference (Musprov XI) of the Indonesian National Association of Consulting Companies (INKINDO) Aceh on Monday (May 18, 2026) in Banda Aceh. The event was attended by the Chairman of DPP INKINDO Aceh, Safri Ismi, Chairman of DPN INKINDO, Erie Heryadi, along with representatives from various provinces across Indonesia.

In his opening remarks, Nasir emphasized that Musprov XI INKINDO Aceh is not merely an organizational agenda, but a strategic forum to strengthen the role of consultants in regional development. He noted that the increasing complexity of development challenges in Aceh requires stronger professional support from the consulting sector.

He also appreciated INKINDO Aceh for organizing the event and highlighted the importance of close collaboration between the government and consultants to ensure development planning is more targeted, efficient, and sustainable.

Enhancing Disaster Risk Professionalism

Nasir underlined that the theme of Musprov XI—focused on strengthening professionalism in addressing disaster risks and regulatory changes in the consulting sector—is highly relevant. Aceh is among regions with high disaster vulnerability, making risk management an essential component in all development planning processes.

He also referred to recent hydrometeorological disasters that struck several areas in Aceh late last year. Floods and landslides significantly disrupted infrastructure as well as social and economic activities, underscoring the need for stronger integration of disaster risk considerations in future planning.

Construction Sector as Aceh's Growth Engine

According to Nasir, Aceh's economy grew by 4.09 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026. The construction sector contributed the largest share at 1.36 percent, followed by trade at 1.27 percent.

He stressed that consulting services play a crucial role in ensuring development projects are implemented efficiently, safely, and with high quality—from spatial planning and feasibility studies to infrastructure design and project supervision.

Strengthening INKINDO's Organizational Role

Closing his remarks, the provincial secretary called on INKINDO Aceh to continue evolving into a strong, progressive, and adaptive professional organization. He also urged that Musprov XI produce a new leadership that is more integrated, visionary, and capable of making a tangible contribution to Aceh's future development. (IDNC)
