LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Labuhanbatu Selatan Police (Polres Labuhanbatu Selatan) carried out a large-scale social initiative by slaughtering eight cattle and distributing 530 meat packages to residents in need in observance of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE. The activity took place on Wednesday, May 17, 2026, at the police headquarters on Jalan Lintas Sumatra, Sosopan Village.
The qurban (sacrificial slaughter) ceremony was held in a solemn and orderly atmosphere within the police compound. Labuhanbatu Selatan Police Chief AKBP Aditya S. P. Sembiring Muham personally attended the event, accompanied by senior officers, staff, and personnel of the local police force.The ceremony began with a symbolic handover of the sacrificial animals from the police chief to AKP Haryanto, head of the Internal Supervision Division, who also served as chair of the organizing committee.

Committee chair AKP Aryanto stated that a total of eight cattle were sacrificed this year. Additional donations were also provided by senior police officials for social and religious purposes.

530 Meat Packages for Residents in Need
The distribution of sacrificial meat was focused on underprivileged communities around the police headquarters. Beneficiaries included street vendors, waste collectors, low-income families, Islamic boarding schools, and media representatives.Each portion of meat was packed in approximately one-kilogram packages before being distributed. In total, 530 packages were handed over to the public.
