FREE MASS CIRCUMCISION FOR CHILDREN: Pelindo Regional 1 participates in a free mass circumcision program held in conjunction with National Children’s Day 2026 at the office of the North Sumatra Provincial Office for Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (P3AKB) on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 1 (Pelindo Regional 1) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving children's health and welfare by supporting a free mass circumcision program held in conjunction with National Children's Day (Hari Anak Nasional/HAN) 2026. The event took place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the office of the North Sumatra Provincial Office for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (P3AKB).

The program, titled "Khitan Massal Spesial HAN Sumut", was part of a joint effort by the North Sumatra Provincial Government to provide accessible healthcare services for the community, particularly for children requiring special attention and support.

The social initiative was carried out through collaboration between the North Sumatra Provincial Government and various partners, including Pelindo Regional 1, the North Sumatra Provincial National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas), companies, organizations, and community groups committed to fulfilling children's rights and improving child health.

Pelindo Strengthens Commitment to Children's Health

Through its support for the mass circumcision program, Pelindo Regional 1 contributed to providing free healthcare services for children, particularly children with special needs, children requiring special protection (AMPK), and children from families of partners working in the online motorcycle taxi sector.

The social program not only provided health benefits but also helped reduce the financial burden on families who needed circumcision services for their children. The involvement of various stakeholders highlights the importance of collaboration between the government, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and other sectors in improving children's quality of life.

Pelindo Regional 1 Legal and Public Relations Manager Fadillah Haryono stated that the company's participation in the social initiative was part of Pelindo's commitment to creating tangible benefits for the community.

"Pelindo Regional 1 continues to support various programs that have a direct impact on society, particularly in fulfilling children's rights to healthcare. National Children's Day reminds us that all stakeholders share responsibility in creating a healthy, safe, and child-friendly environment for Indonesian children," Fadillah said.

Cross-Sector Collaboration Strengthens Social Care

The implementation of the special mass circumcision program as part of HAN Sumut 2026 demonstrates strong cross-sector collaboration in developing sustainable social programs. Regional governments, companies, social institutions, and communities are jointly taking responsibility for supporting the basic needs of children.

Pelindo Regional 1 views this collaboration as an important step in expanding the reach of social programs for the community. Through existing partnerships, various initiatives that directly address public needs can continue to be developed while creating sustainable positive impacts.

Beyond the healthcare aspect, the activity also conveyed an important message about protecting and fulfilling children's rights. National Children's Day serves as a moment for all stakeholders to strengthen their commitment to child development and create an environment where children can grow and reach their full potential.

Pelindo Regional 1's TJSL programs continue to focus on various sectors that benefit the community, particularly healthcare, education, and community empowerment.
