MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 1 (Pelindo Regional 1) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving children's health and welfare by supporting a free mass circumcision program held in conjunction with National Children's Day (Hari Anak Nasional/HAN) 2026. The event took place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the office of the North Sumatra Provincial Office for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (P3AKB).
The program, titled "Khitan Massal Spesial HAN Sumut", was part of a joint effort by the North Sumatra Provincial Government to provide accessible healthcare services for the community, particularly for children requiring special attention and support.The social initiative was carried out through collaboration between the North Sumatra Provincial Government and various partners, including Pelindo Regional 1, the North Sumatra Provincial National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas), companies, organizations, and community groups committed to fulfilling children's rights and improving child health.
Through its support for the mass circumcision program, Pelindo Regional 1 contributed to providing free healthcare services for children, particularly children with special needs, children requiring special protection (AMPK), and children from families of partners working in the online motorcycle taxi sector.
The social program not only provided health benefits but also helped reduce the financial burden on families who needed circumcision services for their children.
