OFFICIAL INAUGURATION OF BAKAMLA WEST ZONE OFFICE: Kabakamla RI Vice Admiral TNI Dr. Irvansyah, Dankodaeral IV Rear Admiral TNI Berkat Widjanarko, the Deputy Governor of Riau Islands, and the Mayor of Batam attended the inauguration of the Bakamla West Zone Office at Mako Zona Bakamla Barat in Setoko, Batam. The event highlights strengthened maritime security cooperation in Western Indonesia.

BATAM | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Commander of the IV Regional Naval Command (Dankodaeral IV), Rear Admiral TNI Berkat Widjanarko, S.E., M.Tr.Opsla., attended the official inauguration of the Bakamla West Zone Office. The ceremony was held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Bakamla West Zone Headquarters (Mako Zona Bakamla Barat) in Setoko.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in strengthening maritime coordination and surveillance efforts across Western Indonesia, particularly in the Riau Islands Province.

The presence of Dankodaeral IV, alongside the Operations Assistant (Asops) and Intelligence Commander (Danden Intel) of Kodaeral IV, reflects the Indonesian Navy's strong commitment to supporting institutional capacity building and inter-agency collaboration.

The initiative aims to ensure the sustainability of maritime security across Indonesia's vast territorial waters through enhanced coordination among relevant stakeholders.

Several high-ranking officials also attended the event, including the Deputy Governor of the Riau Islands, Nyanyang Haris Pratamura, the Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad, and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).
