ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Tengah District Police (Polres Aceh Tengah) strengthened its presence among community activities on Sunday, September 27, 2026. The effort included Perintis Presisi patrols, patrols in tourist areas, and monitoring of fuel distribution at several strategic points across Takengon.
Personnel from the Satuan Samapta unit of Polres Aceh Tengah checked several locations with high levels of public activity. The patrols covered Bank Aceh Takengon Branch, SPBU Nunang Antara, SPBU Simpang Lemah, Alfitrah Pier, Gayo Petro Hotel Takengon, and Toko Emas Mulia Baru.The operation was part of the police's preventive efforts to maintain security and public order. The presence of officers in the field was also intended to provide residents with a sense of security while helping detect potential security disturbances at an early stage.
Head of the Satuan Samapta Unit of Polres Aceh Tengah, IPTU Misbah, said the patrols were carried out as a preventive measure against various potential disruptions to public security and order within the jurisdiction of Polres Aceh Tengah.
"These patrols are a manifestation of the Indonesian Police's presence to provide the community with a sense of security, including in tourist areas and public service facilities such as fuel stations," he said, representing Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Teguh Siswoyo, S.H., S.I.K., M.H.According to Misbah, the presence of officers at strategic locations was not only aimed at securing the respective areas but also at establishing direct communication with residents. Officers provided guidance on public security and order and encouraged citizens to work together to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Three Satuan Samapta personnel took part in the patrol using trail motorcycles to reach several locations. They monitored the situation, conducted dialogue-based patrols, and interacted with residents and youth groups along the route.The dialogue-based approach allows police officers to gain a direct understanding of security conditions in the field. At the same time, officers can provide appropriate guidance on public security and order based on circumstances at each location.
Officers monitored activities at the fuel stations to ensure that fuel distribution and services proceeded in an orderly manner. The monitoring was also intended to create a safe environment for residents visiting the stations to obtain fuel.
The police presence at the fuel stations also served as a preventive measure against potential disturbances that could occur amid increased public activity. Officers observed conditions around the stations and provided guidance whenever they identified circumstances requiring particular attention.Polres Aceh Tengah considers the monitoring of public services an integral part of its preventive patrols. Through direct observation, officers can identify potential problems at an early stage before they affect security and public order.
The operation also supports the police's efforts to ensure that community activities can proceed smoothly. Residents can access fuel station services without being disrupted by potential security or public-order issues.
The patrols also covered areas with high levels of activity among residents and tourists, including Alfitrah Pier and the vicinity of Gayo Petro Hotel Takengon.
Officers monitored community activities and ensured that conditions in these areas remained safe. The high mobility of residents and tourists in these areas was taken into consideration, as it can increase the need for a visible security presence.As part of the tourism patrols, police officers did not limit their activities to monitoring alone but also engaged directly with members of the community. The presence of officers around Toko Emas Mulia Baru and Bank Aceh Takengon Branch was also part of efforts to secure locations with high levels of public activity. Monitoring was conducted to ensure that conditions remained under control and that community activities could continue normally.Iptu Misbah emphasized that Polres Aceh Tengah would continue to optimize its patrol activities to maintain security and public order throughout its jurisdiction. The police would also adjust patrol patterns according to conditions and the level of public activity at each location.
Based on officers' observations in the field, all areas covered by the patrols remained safe and orderly.
