Calm Returns to Sisekar After Drug Rumor Investigation

LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Residents of Sisutut Kalang Sari, widely known as "Sisekar," can breathe a sigh of relief. The Kota Pinang Police and the National Anti-Drug Movement (GRANAT) of Labuhanbatu Selatan have confirmed that circulating rumors of drug abuse were unfounded.

Quick Response from Authorities

Rumors of drug trafficking began spreading on Monday, April 6, 2026, causing concern among the local community. Prompt action by the police and direct engagement with residents helped ease public anxiety.

The task force, led by Panit I Opsnal of the Kota Pinang Criminal Police, IPDA Mariduk Lumban Tobing, under the direction of KOMPOL R.G.M. Hutagalung, Head of Kota Pinang Police, and Rahmat Aruan, Chairman of GRANAT Labuhanbatu Selatan, inspected the reported locations.

"We investigated the reported sites, verified the information, and held direct discussions with residents. This allowed us to clarify the facts," explained IPDA Mariduk Lumban Tobing.

"We respond to every report, but the public should not be provoked by unverified claims. Always check the facts before sharing information," emphasized IPDA Tobing.

Rahmat Aruan of GRANAT added, "Fighting drugs is a shared responsibility. Vigilance must always be accompanied by reason. Cooperation between authorities and citizens is key to preventing drug issues and avoiding unnecessary stigmatization."
