JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - Jambi Police Chief Kombes Pol. Ananto Herlambang has called on all elements of society to work together in maintaining security and public order (Kamtibmas) across the Jambi City area. He emphasized that creating a safe and peaceful environment is not solely the responsibility of the police but requires active participation from all community groups.
In his statement on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Kombes Pol. Ananto Herlambang said that the security situation within the jurisdiction of Jambi City Police remains generally under control. However, police authorities continue to strengthen their vigilance against various potential security disturbances that could emerge at any time.According to Kombes Ananto, such disturbances may include public order issues, criminal activities, and minor social conflicts that could escalate into larger problems if not addressed at an early stage.
Kombes Ananto described the community as an important partner for the police in maintaining security stability. He stated that public involvement through awareness of the surrounding environment plays a crucial role in detecting and preventing potential security threats at an early stage.
"We cannot work alone. The presence of police officers in every corner of the city will not be optimal without support, participation, and quick reports from the community. The widest eyes and ears we have are the people themselves," he said.He explained that citizens could contribute by reporting suspicious activities, maintaining good relationships among neighbors, and avoiding being easily influenced by information whose accuracy has not been confirmed.
Furthermore, Kombes Ananto reminded the public about the importance of preserving social unity. In his view, communities built on mutual concern and effective communication would be better able to prevent security disturbances.
As part of efforts to accelerate public services, Jambi City Police continues to promote the use of the police emergency service Call Center 110. The service operates 24 hours a day and can be accessed free of charge through mobile phones and landlines within the Jambi region.
Kombes Ananto explained that the 110 hotline serves as a communication channel for residents to submit reports or information requiring a quick response from police authorities."Through the police Call Center 110 service, citizens can report various incidents, including:
"Do not hesitate to contact the police Call Center 110 if you see or experience anything suspicious or dangerous. The faster a report is received, the faster we can take action to prevent potential disturbances," he added.
The Jambi Police Chief also appealed to the public to use the service responsibly and refrain from making false reports or unnecessary calls. This is essential to ensure that the 110 service remains available for people who genuinely require urgent assistance.According to him, security in the community can only be achieved when police and citizens share a commitment to maintaining order and safety. This cooperation is an important step toward making Jambi City safer, more comfortable, and peaceful.
