Lom Lom Suwondo made the remarks during an official farewell and welcome ceremony for the Commander of Kodim 0201/Medan, held on Monday evening, September 14, 2026, at the Ballroom of the Santika Dyandra Convention Hall at Hotel Medan.On the occasion, the Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang emphasized the importance of the existing cooperation between the regional government and units of the Indonesian Military (TNI). He said institutional cooperation is an important element in supporting the interests of the community, particularly in areas falling under the territorial jurisdiction of Kodim 0201/Medan."On behalf of the Deli Serdang Regency Government, we express our gratitude for the dedication and cooperation that have been built throughout this time. We warmly welcome Lieutenant Colonel Inf Fernando Batubara and wish him success in his new assignment. May the cooperation that has already been established continue to grow stronger," he said.
Lom Lom said Deli Serdang has a strong interest in maintaining close cooperation with the TNI, as part of the regency falls within the territorial jurisdiction of Kodim 0201/Medan. Therefore, he said, the existing cooperation must be maintained and further strengthened.
The cooperation, he added, is not limited to security and public order issues but also extends to development and public services.According to Lom Lom, the Deli Serdang Government needs effective coordination with all relevant institutions to ensure that various development programs can be implemented optimally. The presence of the TNI alongside the regional government is also an important factor in maintaining safe and stable conditions in the region.
Lom Lom also acknowledged the contribution of Lieutenant Colonel Arm Delli Yudha Adi Nurcahyo during his tenure as Commander of Kodim 0201/Medan. He expressed hope that the good relations established during that period would remain an integral part of institutional cooperation in the region.
During the farewell and welcome ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Arm Delli Yudha Adi Nurcahyo expressed his gratitude to all parties for their support during his tenure as Commander of Kodim 0201/Medan.
After completing his assignment in Medan, Delli Yudha was transferred to Korem 151/Binaiya in Ambon, Maluku. The new assignment is part of his continued military career and brings additional responsibilities in a different operational area.Delli Yudha said the support and cooperation of various institutions during his tenure had played an important role in maintaining regional stability. He also emphasized the importance of close relations among the TNI, regional governments, the police and all elements of society.
"Synergy and cooperation are very important to maintain security and public order while also supporting development in Medan and surrounding areas," he said.He expressed his appreciation to everyone who had supported the work of Kodim 0201/Medan throughout his tenure. In his view, the various achievements in maintaining security and supporting development interests could not be separated from cross-sectoral cooperation.
The leadership transition at Kodim 0201/Medan also marked an opportunity to continue existing partnerships. The relationships established between the TNI and regional governments are expected to remain strong despite the change in leadership.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Fernando Batubara, who now serves as Commander of Kodim 0201/Medan, requested the support of all members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the regional government, police, Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), and the community.
He said such support would be needed to carry out his new mandate as Commander of Kodim 0201/Medan while continuing various responsibilities related to security and public order.Fernando will also face the task of establishing communication and coordination with various stakeholders within the territorial jurisdiction of Kodim 0201/Medan. Inter-institutional cooperation, he said, will be an important foundation for carrying out these responsibilities.
The farewell and welcome ceremony also marked the leadership transition at Kodim 0201/Medan from Lieutenant Colonel Arm Delli Yudha Adi Nurcahyo to Lieutenant Colonel Inf Fernando Batubara.The Deli Serdang Government hopes the leadership transition will not weaken the cooperation that has been established. Instead, the new commander is expected to further strengthen coordination between the TNI and the regional government in maintaining security, supporting development and providing the best possible public services.
With the support of Forkopimda, the regional government, police, DPRD and the community, Kodim 0201/Medan is expected to continue playing its strategic role in maintaining regional stability while further strengthening cooperation in the interests of the public.
