URGES RESIDENTS TO PROCESS VEHICLE TAX PAYMENTS: The Head of Samsat Banda Aceh, Rahmat Syahreza, S.STP., urges the public to process vehicle tax payments and vehicle administration matters through official services to prevent intermediary practices, fraud, and unauthorized fees.

BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM- The Head of Samsat Banda Aceh, Rahmat Syahreza, S.STP., has called on the public to process vehicle tax payments and all administrative matters related to vehicle documents exclusively through official counters and services provided by Samsat Banda Aceh. He emphasized that citizens should not use the services of unofficial intermediaries known as "Calo" and should not hand over money or important documents to unauthorized individuals.

Rahmat said Samsat Banda Aceh continues to strive to provide vehicle administration services that are easy, transparent, and accessible, allowing the public to complete all necessary procedures without intermediaries. All administrative processes are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, without any additional charges beyond the official fees determined by the government.

According to Rahmat, the public needs to understand that every stage of vehicle administration, from vehicle tax payments and the renewal of the Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) to the replacement of vehicle license plates, can be completed directly through official service counters. Samsat officers are always available to provide information and assist citizens who still have questions regarding administrative procedures.

Official Services Ensure Security and Transparency

Rahmat explained that all employees of Samsat Banda Aceh carry out their duties professionally by prioritizing convenience, transparency, and reliable public services. Therefore, citizens do not need to worry if they are not yet fully familiar with the vehicle administration process.

Officers at each service counter are prepared to provide direct information regarding required documents, official fees, and the procedures needed to complete administrative processes. By using official services, citizens can ensure that all procedures are carried out according to regulations while obtaining legal certainty for their vehicle documents.

"Please come directly to Samsat Banda Aceh. Ask our officers if there is anything that is not yet understood. Information services are provided free of charge, and the public does not need intermediaries," Rahmat said during an interview with the media.

Rahmat added that information transparency is one of Samsat Banda Aceh's commitments to improving the quality of public services. Therefore, every citizen has the right to receive clear explanations regarding all vehicle administration procedures without having to pay additional costs outside official provisions.

Public Warned Against Intermediaries and Fraudulent Practices

Rahmat also warned the public to be cautious of individuals who offer faster processing of vehicle-related matters or special services outside official procedures. He said such offers could harm citizens because they increase the risk of fraud, misuse of funds, and improper handling of vehicle documents.

He assessed that the existence of intermediaries not only creates financial losses for the public but may also disrupt administrative processes when procedures are not carried out according to applicable regulations. The risk of lost documents or delays in processing may occur when citizens entrust their files to irresponsible parties.

Therefore, Rahmat called on all citizens to handle every vehicle administration process directly through official Samsat Banda Aceh officers. This step is considered the safest way to protect personal documents while ensuring that all administrative procedures are conducted legally and properly.

Public Encouraged to Report Violations

As part of its commitment to improving public services, Samsat Banda Aceh continues to implement various measures to provide fast, transparent, accountable, and targeted services. These improvements are expected to provide greater security and convenience for citizens in handling vehicle administration matters.

Rahmat also urged citizens to remain vigilant when dealing with individuals claiming to be Samsat employees. The public should verify the identity of officers and ensure that all procedures are carried out through official channels in accordance with applicable regulations.

In addition, citizens are encouraged to immediately report any indications of illegal fees, fraud, abuse of authority, or other violations during vehicle tax administration processes. Public participation is considered essential in supporting clean, transparent, professional public services free from intermediary practices.

By using official Samsat Banda Aceh services, citizens not only receive lawful and secure administrative services but also contribute to the development of better, trusted, and integrity-based public administration. (IDNC)
