PUTRI OTONOMI INDONESIA 2026: Yemima Mutiara Caren Sitanggang wins the title after delivering an outstanding performance at the grand final held at Graha Bhinneka Perkasa Jaya on Thursday evening, July 2, 2026.

DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Regency of Deli Serdang has once again achieved notable recognition at the national level. This achievement became even more significant after the region successfully hosted the 26th anniversary of the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (APKASI), while its representative, Yemima Mutiara Caren Sitanggang, secured the title of Putri Otonomi Indonesia 2026 at the grand final held at Graha Bhinneka Perkasa Jaya on Thursday evening, July 2, 2026.

The prestigious competition, which featured 19 finalists from various regencies and cities across Indonesia, evaluated not only physical appearance but also intelligence, communication skills, leadership capacity, national values, and the ability to comprehensively present regional potential.

Young Leaders as Regional Ambassadors

APKASI Chairman Bursah Zarnubi emphasized that the Putri Otonomi Indonesia competition serves as a strategic platform to develop a younger generation capable of representing their regions while acting as ambassadors of national development.

He explained that all finalists underwent an intensive training and quarantine program, which included leadership development, public communication, regional potential enhancement, and the strengthening of national values and defense awareness.

According to him, these programs aim to shape young leaders who are not only professionally competent but also possess strong awareness of regional progress and nationalism.

He further highlighted that the winner of Putri Otonomi Indonesia 2026 will assume a strategic role as Head of the National Defense Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense's National Reserve Component. This responsibility significantly expands her contribution in promoting patriotic values among Indonesian youth.

Strong Performance Through to the Final

Throughout the competition, Yemima Mutiara Caren Sitanggang consistently impressed the judges. She initially earned the title of "Most Favorite Princess" after receiving the highest public votes in the online polling system, which granted her a Golden Ticket directly to the semifinals of the Top 4 finalists.

In the semifinal round, she competed against three other contestants: Annabelle Malianglay from North Minahasa, Asyifa Nada Ashila Sulhi from Jember, and Cinta Kasih Sayang Helena from South Tangerang.

A pivotal moment came during the question-and-answer session on Artificial Intelligence (AI), where Yemima emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced approach between technology and human roles.

"AI is a technology that supports humans, not replaces them. As the younger generation, we must learn to use AI responsibly so that it brings positive impacts. If we adapt and combine it with human skills, AI will provide great benefits," she stated.

Her response was positively received by the judges, who considered it highly relevant to the challenges of the digital era.

Crowning Moment and Regional Pride

After all evaluation rounds were completed, the jury announced the final results. Cinta Kasih Sayang Helena from South Tangerang placed third, Asyifa Nada Ashila Sulhi from Jember finished as First Runner-Up, and Annabelle Malianglay from North Minahasa was named Second Runner-Up.
