The initiative carried the theme of environmental protection and concern for marine ecosystems. The main activities included a beach clean-up campaign and a social assistance program for coastal communities. Through this initiative, Kodaeral IV invited various elements of society to work together in maintaining coastal cleanliness and strengthening public awareness of the sustainable preservation of marine ecosystems.
The "Aku Cinta Laut" action was attended by Chairwoman of the Regional Board of the Kodaeral IV Jalasenastri Association of the Indonesian Fleet Command (Koarmada RI), Peni Berkat Widjanarko; Kodaeral IV personnel; all key officials and heads of units within Kodaeral IV; as well as members of the Jalasenastri Koarmada RI Regional Board. In addition to Kodaeral IV personnel, the activity was also joined by President Director of PT PLN Batam Kwin Fo and his staff, Chairman of the Batam City Fishermen Association, community representatives, fishermen, sanitation workers, and Saka Bahari members.
The beach clean-up was one of the main highlights of the event. All participants worked together to remove waste scattered along the coastal area of the Cakra Kodaeral IV Shooting Range Beach in Batam.
Through this activity, Kodaeral IV demonstrated its commitment to protecting the marine environment while encouraging the public to increase awareness of the importance of maintaining clean coastal areas. The activity also served as an educational effort to emphasize that protecting coastal environments is not solely the responsibility of the government or state institutions, but requires active participation from all elements of society.
Coastal areas play an important role in supporting the lives of maritime communities, particularly fishermen whose livelihoods depend on marine resources. Therefore, clean seas and coastal environments are essential factors in ensuring the sustainable preservation of maritime resources.
The assistance was not limited to activities on land but also reached people working at sea. The Kodaeral IV patrol unit utilized the Indonesian Navy vessel KRI Bubara-868 to directly deliver aid packages to fishermen who were out at sea with their boats.
The distribution of social assistance by KRI Bubara-868 to fishermen represented a concrete expression of the Indonesian Navy's attention toward the welfare of maritime communities. At the same time, the activity strengthened the relationship between naval personnel and residents in coastal areas. The presence of the patrol unit in the fishermen's working areas highlighted the role of the Indonesian Navy, which is not only responsible for maintaining maritime security but also actively contributes to providing social support for coastal communities.

"The celebration of Kodaeral IV's first anniversary is not only an opportunity to reflect on the organization's development but also a moment to increase social awareness, strengthen cooperation with the community, and build collective awareness for maintaining and protecting the coastal environment," said Laksda Berkat Widjanarko.
President Director of PT PLN Batam Kwin Fo also appreciated the implementation of the "Aku Cinta Laut" action. He said the activity created positive collaboration between the Indonesian Navy, the government, businesses, and the community in protecting the environment while improving the welfare of coastal residents."This activity can create positive cooperation between the Indonesian Navy, the government, businesses, and the community to protect the environment while improving the welfare of coastal residents," Kwin Fo stated.
Through this action, Kodaeral IV reaffirmed its commitment to remaining present among the community and creating tangible benefits for the environment and maritime communities through concrete initiatives. The spirit of cooperation during the first anniversary of Kodaeral IV in 2026 is expected to further strengthen the bond between the Indonesian Navy and the public, while contributing to the creation of cleaner, healthier, and safer coastal areas.
