MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM – Medan Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas has called for stronger institutional capacity across the city's three key public service units—Damkarmat (Fire and Rescue Service), Satpol PP (Public Order Agency), and Satlinmas (Civil Protection Unit)—while praising their dedication to delivering fast, professional, and community-oriented services.
The statement was delivered following a joint anniversary ceremony celebrating the three institutions: the 76th anniversary of Satpol PP, the 107th anniversary of Damkarmat, and the 64th anniversary of Satlinmas. The mayor expressed admiration for the physical and mental readiness of personnel, as well as their coordination with law enforcement agencies in enforcing municipal regulations.
"We can see that our personnel are highly trained, including female officers demonstrating their skills. This reflects their readiness in all situations," he said.He concluded the event by extending his congratulations to all three institutions.

Head of Damkarmat Medan, Wandro Malau, stated that the Redkar program is currently being strengthened across 21 districts and 151 urban villages.
"This year, the budget has been allocated. We will conduct specialized training for Redkar volunteers," he said.These volunteers are recruited from local communities and serve as first responders in providing early information during fire and rescue incidents.

Head of Satpol PP Medan, M. Yunus, reaffirmed the agency's close coordination with Damkarmat, noting that the unit will play a greater role in securing fire incident locations.
