RKPD 2027 MUSRENBANG: The Regent of Deli Serdang attends the North Sumatra RKPD 2027 Musrenbang in Medan, signs an MoU on inflation control, and receives a Ministry of Home Affairs award for contributions to disaster relief.

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Regent of Deli Serdang, Dr. H. Asri Ludin Tambunan, attended the 2027 Regional Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of North Sumatra Province on Wednesday (April 22, 2026). The event was held at the Santika Dyandra Convention Hall in Medan.

The forum serves as a strategic platform to align regional development targets with provincial and national policy directions, while also strengthening inter-regional cooperation across North Sumatra.

Inflation Control Collaboration Strengthened

During the event, the Regent of Deli Serdang signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Governor of North Sumatra on joint inflation control efforts. The agreement aims to maintain price stability and protect public purchasing power.

"This recognition motivates us to remain active, not only in serving the people of Deli Serdang but also in supporting other regions in the spirit of solidarity," said Asri Ludin Tambunan.

Ministry Recognition and Additional Fiscal Support

The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Minister Tito Karnavian, awarded Deli Serdang and seven other regions for their active assistance to disaster-affected areas in Aceh Province. The recognition highlights the region's financial contribution of IDR 50 billion for East Aceh District.

In addition, Deli Serdang received an increase in regional transfer funds (TKD) amounting to IDR 493.85 billion, strengthening its fiscal capacity for future development programs.

The Regent emphasized the region's commitment to expanding inter-regional collaboration and ensuring alignment with both provincial and national development frameworks.

"We are ready to support North Sumatra's development programs and ensure that our planning in Deli Serdang is in line with the national vision," he stated.

Government Leaders Emphasize Development Synchronization

North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution stated that the RKPD 2027 is designed to promote equitable regional development and economic strengthening. The development theme focuses on accelerating high-quality growth through increased investment productivity and industrial-based regional potential to enhance competitiveness and post-disaster recovery.

"We aim to drive economic growth, reduce inequality, and ensure that development reaches all communities in North Sumatra," said Bobby Nasution.

Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian underscored the importance of Musrenbang as a core planning instrument, urging local governments to seriously utilize its outcomes as the foundation for development planning.

"The Musrenbang is not just a routine event, but the foundation for successful development in 2027," he said.

He also highlighted that synchronization between regional needs, provincial programs, and national strategies is crucial. The additional transfer funds will be gradually disbursed within the next three months. (IDNC)
