DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Government has begun construction of the Hamparan Perak Regional Hospital (RSUD Hamparan Perak) as part of efforts to expand public access to healthcare services. Deli Serdang Regent dr. H. Asri Ludin Tambunan, together with the Deputy Regent, officially laid the foundation stone for the hospital on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The RSUD Hamparan Perak is being built along Jalan Lintas Klambir V–Klumpang. The new facility will expand Deli Serdang's network of government-owned healthcare facilities and become the fourth regional hospital managed by the regency government.Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan said the hospital construction is part of the regional government's efforts to bring healthcare services closer to the community, particularly residents of Hamparan Perak and surrounding areas.
"Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, today we begin the construction of the first regional hospital in Hamparan Perak. May the construction proceed smoothly and bring benefits to the community," he said.Construction of the RSUD Hamparan Perak will be carried out in stages. During the first phase, the government will prioritize the construction of the emergency department (IGD) and outpatient clinics. The first phase is scheduled for completion in December 2026.
Asri Ludin emphasized that the development of RSUD Hamparan Perak is intended to provide healthcare services that are closer, more accessible and of high quality. With the new facility, residents of Hamparan Perak will no longer have to travel long distances when they require medical treatment or referrals to a government regional hospital.
The hospital construction is also part of the regional government's commitment to promoting more balanced development and a more equitable distribution of public services across Deli Serdang Regency. The government expects RSUD Hamparan Perak not only to strengthen the healthcare sector, but also to support the development of the area and improve residents' quality of life."Our hope is that people will no longer have to travel long distances when they need to be referred to a regional hospital. As the Deputy Regent and I have promised, we will continue to develop Hamparan Perak and move it forward," he added.
As part of the phased development, the regional government will expand hospital capacity in line with the healthcare needs of the population. In the first phase, the emergency department and outpatient clinics will receive priority so that residents can benefit from the new healthcare facilities as soon as possible.The construction of RSUD Hamparan Perak also reflects the regional government's attention to the growing demand for healthcare services in an area that continues to develop. According to the government, ease of access for the community remains a key consideration in the expansion of public facilities.
The event was not limited to the construction of the healthcare facility. The Deli Serdang Regency Government also distributed zakat assistance and identification cards for Bilal Jenazah personnel in Hamparan Perak Subdistrict. The program then continued with the "Deli Serdang Mengaji" initiative at Taqwa Mosque.
The participation of various government agencies and community groups demonstrated cross-sectoral cooperation in the development of Hamparan Perak Subdistrict. The regional government combined infrastructure development with social and religious activities as part of the same program.In addition to the hospital construction, the regional government also addressed the flooding problem, which regularly raises concerns among residents of Hamparan Perak. The discussion included an evaluation of last year's flooding and various measures to prepare for potential flooding toward the end of the year.
The evaluation of last year's flooding will serve as one of the foundations for determining further measures. The regional government aims to strengthen preparedness by implementing various infrastructure improvements to regulate and control water flow.
River management is among the measures intended to increase drainage capacity. At the same time, the repair and reinforcement of embankments are expected to reduce the risk of water overflowing into residential areas as rainfall increases.The flood protection discussion complements the development agenda for Hamparan Perak Subdistrict. On one hand, the regional government is strengthening basic public services through the construction of the RSUD. On the other, it is preparing measures to address environmental problems that could affect residents' daily lives and living conditions.
The construction of RSUD Hamparan Perak is expected to become an important milestone in improving public services in the area.
