Aceh Government Emphasizes Synergy Between TPID and TP2DD to Control Inflation and Accelerate Digital Economy

LANGSA | INDATANEWS.COM- The Secretary of Aceh Province, M. Nasir, has underscored the importance of cross-sector collaboration as a key driver in maintaining price stability while accelerating digital transformation within the regional financial sector. He made the statement while opening the High Level Meeting (HLM) of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) and the Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD) in Aceh, held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Harmoni Hotel in Langsa City.

The strategic forum, which brought together regents and mayors across Aceh, carried the theme "Synergy Between Inflation Control and Financial Digitalization for Aceh's Post-Disaster Economic Recovery." The meeting served as a crucial consolidation platform for local governments to formulate concrete measures in addressing post-disaster economic dynamics that continue to affect public purchasing power.

Economic Recovery Foundation

In his remarks, Nasir emphasized that the chosen theme is not merely a slogan, but the fundamental basis for rebuilding Aceh's economy. He noted that inflation control and the acceleration of financial digitalization must progress in tandem to create inclusive, sustainable, and resilient economic growth.

"Inflation control and financial digitalization are two complementary agendas in building inclusive, sustainable, and resilient economic growth," Nasir stated.

He further explained that regional economic stability is highly dependent on the government's ability to integrate fiscal policies, commodity distribution systems, and innovative technology-based financial services.

Strengthening TPID Coordination for Price Stability

Nasir also highlighted the importance of strengthening inter-regional coordination in controlling inflation. He stressed that TPID units at the regency and municipal levels should not merely respond reactively to price increases, but must instead develop a preventive system.

This can be achieved through improved production planning, better distribution of essential goods, and the establishment of regional food reserves.

"I urge all TPID members to strengthen cross-sector coordination. Regions with production surpluses must act as suppliers for deficit regions so that price disparities can be reduced," Nasir emphasized.

This statement highlights the importance of regional integration in maintaining a balanced supply and demand structure, particularly for strategic commodities that significantly influence inflation levels.

Digitalization as a Driver of Financial Transformation

In addition to inflation control, the Provincial Secretary of Aceh also focused on accelerating digital financial transformation across the region. He called on district and municipal governments to consistently implement the Electronification of Regional Government Transactions (ETPD).

According to Nasir, the adoption of digital payment systems and cashless transactions not only improves governance efficiency and transparency but also expands access for local economic actors such as MSMEs, farmers, and fishermen to the digital economic ecosystem.

"Digitalization must deliver tangible benefits. We expect all regions to continue promoting innovation-driven, technology-based public services to enhance accountability and optimize regional revenue," Nasir said.

He described digital transformation as a strategic step toward building a modern, transparent, and adaptive regional economic structure.

The Aceh TPID and TP2DD High Level Meeting is expected not only to serve as a discussion forum but also to produce concrete strategic agreements with measurable work programs across all regions.

Nasir also expressed appreciation to Bank Indonesia representatives in Aceh and Lhokseumawe, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and all banking institutions supporting Aceh's economic transformation.

"Through this synergy, the Government of Aceh is confident in maintaining public purchasing power amid post-disaster recovery challenges while accelerating Aceh's path toward a more advanced and prosperous region," Nasir concluded. (IDNC)
