Critical Reflection on the Nation

Fika Rahma, CEO of Indata Komunika Cemerlang, described the book as a deep reflection on Indonesia's current state.

"We cannot continue operating under the old patterns. Reset Indonesia offers a chance to restart with stronger foundations," she said on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Collaboration with Green Justice Indonesia

Rahma emphasized that the event is held in collaboration with Green Justice Indonesia, expanding the focus to environmental issues. Highlights include a photo exhibition on natural disasters and a talk show titled "Youth Voices and the Climate Crisis."

"So this event is not just a discussion about the book Reset Indonesia, but also features a photo exhibition of disasters and a talk show addressing Youth Voices and the Climate Crisis," Rahma explained.

The talk show highlights the growing impact of climate change. According to Rahma, floods and landslides in late 2025 in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra resulted in over a thousand fatalities. Hundreds remain missing, and thousands of villages were affected, with some completely destroyed.

Climate Crisis Present Reality

These disasters caused enormous material losses and exposed the high vulnerability of affected regions. Environmental degradation, inadequate disaster preparedness, and lack of community-based prevention worsened the situation. Climate change is no longer a future problem—it is a current reality.

The talk show integrates diverse perspectives, from visual documentation and climate science to environmental activism and public education. Featured speakers include Prayugo Utama (Voice of Forest), journalist Nanda Fahriza Batubara, Wahyu, head of the North Sumatra Climatological Station, and Panut Hadisiswoyo, director of Green Justice Indonesia.
