JAKARTA | INDATANEWS.COM - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has once again carried out a rotation and reassignment of several third-level structural officials within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office (Kejaksaan Republik Indonesia). The personnel changes affect both the central office and regional prosecutor's offices. In the latest reshuffle, Tengku Firdaus has been promoted to serve as Assistant for Special Crimes at the Sumatera Selatan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejaksaan Tinggi Sumatera Selatan) in Palembang.

The promotion is stipulated in Decision No. IV-10122/C/07/2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of officials to structural positions within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office.

Deputy Attorney General for Administration Hendro Dewanto signed the decision on July 29, 2026. The document covers a total of 176 structural positions, including several strategic posts within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office.

The positions affected by the rotation and reassignment include, among others, heads of district prosecutor's offices, heads of sub-directorates, division heads, deputy inspectors, and coordinators.

Promotion to the Corruption-Fighting Division

Tengku Firdaus is listed as the 84th official in the decision. According to the document, the lawyer, who was born in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, has been appointed as a third-level structural official, serving as Assistant for Special Crimes at the Sumatera Selatan High Prosecutor's Office in Palembang.

The promotion also brings his tenure as Head of the Kutai Kartanegara District Prosecutor's Office in East Kalimantan to an end. Tengku Firdaus had served in the position for approximately one year before being assigned to his new post at the Sumatera Selatan High Prosecutor's Office.

The new position is part of Tengku Firdaus' career trajectory within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office. Previously, he headed the Jombang and Sanggau District Prosecutor's Offices. He also served as Assistant for Intelligence at the Riau Islands High Prosecutor's Office.

Tengku Firdaus earned his law degree from Universitas Islam Riau in Pekanbaru, graduating in 2000. Six years later, he obtained a master's degree in law from Universitas Putra Bangsa in Surabaya, East Java.

His professional career in the Adhyaksa Corps has been closely associated with his dedication and years of service. In various positions, he has been regarded as a decisive, professional, and integrity-driven prosecutor, while also being described as approachable and communicative.

Strengthening Regional Cooperation

During his leadership of several district prosecutor's offices, Tengku Firdaus' responsibilities extended beyond law enforcement duties. He also maintained relationships and communication with various community groups, regional government authorities, and businesses within his respective jurisdictions.

During his tenure as head of the Kutai Kartanegara, Jombang, and Sanggau District Prosecutor's Offices, he pursued various innovations while strengthening internal communication within the prosecution service. He also sought to foster closer cooperation and stronger synergies with regional stakeholders.

The approach was intended to support regional governments in implementing development programs and improving the living conditions of local communities.

For Tengku Firdaus, his career with the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office is part of a responsibility that must be carried out with a strong sense of duty. He said he was grateful for the achievements he had made so far, both in his professional development and in his family life with his wife and two children.

Despite his professional advancement, Tengku Firdaus continues to regard himself as an ordinary person who should remain grateful and show compassion toward others.

"Gratitude and humility have been principles instilled in me by my parents since childhood. Kindness, social responsibility, and love for family are also important to me," he said on Saturday, August 8, 2026, to ADHYAKSAdigital.

No Pursuit of Positions, but Service to the Institution

The former Assistant for Intelligence at the Riau Islands High Prosecutor's Office said he had never set specific career targets during his career as a law enforcement officer within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office.

In his view, every position represents a responsibility entrusted to him by the institution and his superiors, which must be fulfilled with the highest level of commitment. Therefore, he focuses on delivering his best service regardless of where he is assigned.

"I always strive to serve as a professional and integrity-driven member of the Prosecutor's Office. I try to uphold and responsibly carry out every responsibility entrusted to me by the institution and my superiors, particularly when taking on a new position. Wherever I am assigned, I must perform my duties with full dedication," said the father of two.

Tengku Firdaus now faces a new assignment at the Sumatera Selatan High Prosecutor's Office. As Assistant for Special Crimes, he will hold a position in one of the strategic areas of law enforcement, particularly in efforts to combat corruption offenses in Sumatera Selatan Province.

He asked the public for their support so that he can carry out his new responsibilities effectively while continuing to uphold professionalism and integrity.

"I ask for prayers and support so that our work in combating corruption in Sumatera Selatan Province can be carried out with full responsibility, professionalism, and integrity," Tengku Firdaus said.

The promotion also marks a new chapter in Tengku Firdaus' career within the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office. Following his experience as head of several district prosecutor's offices and his previous role as Assistant for Intelligence, he will now take on the responsibility of strengthening efforts to combat corruption offenses within the jurisdiction of the Sumatera Selatan High Prosecutor's Office.
