SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra Officially Inaugurated, Prepares Future Generation of Character Leaders

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - A solemn atmosphere filled with a strong spirit of unity marked the inauguration ceremony of the Regional Council Board of the Alwashliyah Scout Special Unit (SAKO) of North Sumatra for the 2025–2030 term. The event was held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Auditorium of Alwashliyah University (Univa) Medan.

The inauguration became an important milestone for the Scout Movement within Alwashliyah educational institutions across North Sumatra. The event was attended by several Alwashliyah organizational figures, representatives of the North Sumatra Regional Scout Council (Kwarda), invited guests, and Scout members from various regions.

The appointment of the new SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra board marks the beginning of the 2025–2030 service period in carrying out organizational responsibilities and strengthening youth development through the values of the Scout Movement and Alwashliyah principles.

New SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra Board Officially Sworn In

The Chairman of the North Sumatra Regional Scout Council, Dr. Dikky Anugerah, S.Sos., M.Si., was represented at the event by the Deputy Chairman for the SAKA/SAKO Division of Kwarda North Sumatra, Rafriandi Nasution, SE, MT. Rafriandi attended the ceremony accompanied by Amri Fahrizal Nasution, SH, Deputy Chairman for Organization and Legal Affairs (Orgakum) of Kwarda North Sumatra, along with other members of the Regional Scout Council board.

Representing the Chairman of Kwarda North Sumatra, Rafriandi Nasution personally led the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for the new SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra board. The ceremony was marked by the signing of the inauguration document, the handover of official insignia, and a symbolic handshake representing the beginning of new duties and responsibilities.

In his speech, Rafriandi Nasution stated that SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah plays a strategic role as a partner of the Scout Council in shaping young generations based on faith, discipline, and national awareness.

"This inauguration is not merely a transfer of responsibility, but a reaffirmation of a commitment to serve. The spirit of the Scout Movement combined with Alwashliyah values must be reflected in young people who are not only physically strong but also become moral examples," Rafriandi said.

He expressed hope that the new board would be able to implement various development programs that could provide positive impacts for the future of young people in North Sumatra.

Alwashliyah Encourages Scout Group Development in Schools

The Chairman of the Alwashliyah Regional Leadership Board (PW) of North Sumatra, Dr. H. Dedi Iskandar Batubara, S.Sos., SH, M.SP, MH, who also serves as Chairman of the SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra Advisory Board, welcomed the formation of the new SAKO leadership.

According to him, SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah is not merely an organizational structure, but a strategic forum for developing young people with discipline, strong character, social responsibility, and commitment to regional progress.

"We hope that SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra can become a leading force in shaping the character of young people. The noble values of Alwashliyah and the spirit of the Scout Movement must be reflected through concrete actions, discipline, and sincere service. Alwashliyah has 93 schools across North Sumatra that can be prepared to establish Scout groups. If we can achieve 50 percent of that target, it would already be a great accomplishment. Furthermore, I hope SAKO units can be established in every district and city throughout North Sumatra," Dedi stated.

He added that the establishment of Scout groups at Alwashliyah schools is an important step to expand youth character development. With the large number of schools managed by Alwashliyah North Sumatra, the Scout Movement is expected to grow evenly at district and city levels.

New Chairman Targets Expansion of SAKO Across North Sumatra

The elected Chairman of SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra, AKBP (Ret.) H. Zainal Abidin, SH, MH, expressed his gratitude for the trust and support given by members and the newly appointed board.

He stated his commitment to managing the organization professionally and transparently while maintaining the noble values of the Scout Movement. According to him, SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra must become a platform that produces young generations with character, knowledge, and strong moral values.

"We are ready to serve, build synergy, and develop SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra into an organization that creates young people with character, knowledge, and noble values. In the future, we will accelerate the development of SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah throughout North Sumatra, establish SAKO units in all regions, and build Scout groups in all schools under Alwashliyah management," he said before the guests.

Zainal Abidin emphasized that the new board would strengthen cooperation with various parties to further expand the presence of SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra. Organizational development will focus on building networks across all districts and cities in North Sumatra.

With the successful completion of the inauguration ceremony, SAKO Pramuka Alwashliyah North Sumatra is expected to implement all work programs in a structured and sustainable manner. The organization is also committed to strengthening brotherhood, encouraging achievements, and contributing to the formation of a young generation ready to serve society, the region, and the nation.
