Pertamina Expands PGTC 2026 to Empower Future Energy Leaders

JAKARTA | INDATANEWS.COM - PT Pertamina (Persero) returns with Pertamina Goes to Campus (PGTC) 2026, setting a new benchmark in nurturing innovation, competence, and leadership among young Indonesians. Amid increasingly complex global energy challenges, the program is designed to equip students with the capabilities to become key drivers of Indonesia's transition toward national energy independence.

Compared to previous editions, PGTC 2026 has been significantly expanded. A nationwide roadshow across five major Indonesian cities forms the core of this year's initiative. Carrying the theme "Energizing Acceleration for Future Impact," the program aims to accelerate students' transformation from learners into active contributors shaping the future of the energy sector.

Students at the Center of Energy Transformation

Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, emphasized the strategic role of students in building Indonesia's energy future.

"We believe that great innovations are born in universities. PGTC 2026 provides young people with a platform to explore, experiment, and create real impact," Baron stated.

The initiative is designed not merely as a competition, but as a comprehensive ecosystem to develop future leaders in the energy industry.

National Competitions and Global Opportunities

PGTC 2026 features several flagship competitions at the national level, including:

• Energynovation Ideas Competition (EIC)
• Energy Debate Championship (EDC)

Both competitions encourage analytical thinking, research capacity, and innovative solutions focused on green energy and sustainability.

At the regional level, the Energy AdSport Challenge (EAC) integrates creativity, sports, and digital engagement into a unique competition format

Winners of the EIC and EDC categories will also receive fully funded international exposure programs. In previous editions, top participants were awarded short-term study opportunities at Tsinghua University in China.

Kick-Off at ITB in May 2026

The official launch of PGTC 2026 will take place at the Institut Teknologi Bandung in the third week of May 2026. The event will feature:

• Energizing Talk sessions
• Innovation exhibitions
• Preliminary competition rounds
