ACEH BARAT | INDATANEWS.COM – Marlina Muzakir, wife of the Governor of Aceh and Chairperson of TP PKK Aceh, marked Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah in a distinctive way by holding an open house and halal bi halal gathering with residents of Gampong Keutambang, Pante Ceureumen District, on Thursday (May 28, 2026).
Instead of attending the usual centralized celebration at the Governor's Meuligoe in Banda Aceh, which typically draws thousands of visitors, Marlina chose to spend the religious holiday directly with the community in Aceh Barat. The visit, which took approximately 1.5 hours of travel, was warmly welcomed by residents, who greeted her with a flower reception upon arrival.
Strengthening Government–People ConnectionMarlina emphasized that her presence in the region reflects a deliberate effort to strengthen direct communication between the government and the public.
"This is about being closer to the people, engaging in dialogue, and listening to their aspirations. This moment is not only a celebration but also an opportunity to understand community needs," she said. She added that this year's Eid al-Adha carried special meaning as it was celebrated directly within the community, rather than in the provincial capital.
"Every year we celebrate in Banda Aceh, but this time we are celebrating together with the people in Bumi Teuku Umar," she added.
During the event, Marlina actively engaged with residents, listening to various concerns and community aspirations. She ensured that all inputs would be followed up according to the appropriate governmental authority.
"We will categorize the issues: those under the provincial government will be handled together with relevant agencies, while matters under the district government will be addressed by the regent," she explained.Children's Joy, Health Services, and Social Initiatives

In addition, Marlina distributed "Salam Tempel" envelopes to various groups, including children, elderly residents, local officials, and community leaders."So it is fair, everyone receives something," she said with a smile.

Local Government and Community Appreciation
