BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Provincial Government has reaffirmed its commitment to developing highly skilled, competitive, and globally competitive human resources by awarding scholarships to four outstanding students from Aceh to pursue higher education at the Sichuan Vocational College of Chemical Technology in Sichuan Province, People's Republic of China.
The scholarship program forms part of the provincial government's long-term strategy to cultivate a new generation of globally competent professionals capable of meeting the demands of regional development, particularly in the industrial and natural resource downstream processing sectors.Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah said the achievement of the four scholarship recipients is not only a source of pride for their families and former schools but also for the people of Aceh as a whole. He described overseas education as a long-term investment that will make a significant contribution to the province's future development.
"This achievement is not only a source of pride for the students' families and schools but also for all the people of Aceh. We hope they will complete their studies successfully and return home to contribute their knowledge to the development of our region," Fadhlullah said. The four scholarship recipients come from different educational institutions across Aceh. They are Enver Maula Aufasyah Putra from SMAN 3 Banda Aceh, Maxalmina Mughayatsyah from MAS Jeumala Amal Lueng Putu in Pidie Jaya Regency, and Muhammad Izyan Azhar and Muhammad Badawi Fadillah from SMKN 2 Banda Aceh.

To achieve this goal, it continues to expand access to education through various capacity-building initiatives, including overseas scholarship programs.
Fadhlullah emphasized that Aceh needs a young generation equipped with a global outlook, strong scientific and technological capabilities, and the ability to contribute actively to the development of the province's industrial sector.According to him, the expansion of downstream industries based on natural resources requires highly skilled professionals whose competencies meet international standards. Studying abroad, therefore, is expected to provide not only academic knowledge but also valuable international exposure.
"The young people of Aceh must not remain mere spectators in the industrial downstream process. They must become the main actors in managing and developing our natural resources while playing a strategic role in building the region's industrial sector," he said.He expressed confidence that the scholarship recipients would gain extensive knowledge, technological expertise, and international experience during their studies in China. Upon returning to Aceh, they are expected to apply those skills to strengthen the province's long-term competitiveness.

The language course is designed to prepare the students to follow lectures effectively, communicate in an academic environment, and adapt to daily life in the People's Republic of China.
In addition to language instruction, the program also introduces participants to Chinese culture, social customs, and the country's education system, ensuring they are well prepared to begin their academic journey successfully. The Aceh Provincial Government expects this preparation to ease the students' adjustment process and improve their chances of completing their studies within the scheduled timeframe.
The Head of the Aceh Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM Aceh), Marthunis, S.T., D.E.A., officially sent off the four scholarship recipients on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Aceh Besar.
On the occasion, Marthunis encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunity to study abroad while maintaining the good reputation of both Aceh and Indonesia throughout their stay in China. He expressed hope that the students would complete their studies on schedule, broaden their international perspectives, establish valuable professional networks, and return to Aceh with advanced knowledge and experience to support the province's sustainable development.
The scholarship program represents a concrete commitment by the Aceh Provincial Government to producing highly qualified human resources capable of meeting the challenges of global competition.
