Compassionate Policing Strengthens Public Trust

The visit by the Torgamba Police Chief demonstrates that police responsibilities extend far beyond law enforcement, criminal investigations and maintaining security and public order.

The police also have a social responsibility to stand alongside members of the public, particularly when they need assistance, attention and moral encouragement. This community-oriented approach can strengthen relations between police authorities and residents while building greater public confidence.

Trust in the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is built not only through successful criminal investigations or effective security operations. Empathy, services that respond to community needs and humanitarian involvement in everyday life also play an important role in shaping the public's perception of the police.

The presence of the police chief and his officers at the bereaved family's home provides a simple yet meaningful example of how public service can go hand in hand with social responsibility. At the same time, harmonious relationships between the police, media professionals and the community should continue to be nurtured through communication and positive joint activities.

The condolence visit concluded at approximately 10.20 am local time. The Torgamba Police Chief and his officers ensured that the gathering proceeded safely, in an orderly manner and without disruption.

Through social and humanitarian activities of this kind, Torgamba Police Station aims to strengthen its connection with the community and provide policing services that are accessible, responsible and compassionate.
