NAGAN RAYA | INDATANEWS.COM - Officers from the Seunagan Timur Police Sector (Polsek Seunagan Timur), under the Nagan Raya Police (Polres Nagan Raya), educated residents about the dangers and risks of online gambling in Keude Linteng Village, Seunagan Timur Subdistrict, Nagan Raya Regency, on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
The awareness activity, which began at around 9:30 a.m. local time, was conducted by Aipda M. Eri and Briptu M. Akhyar. The Seunagan Timur Police officers also reminded residents to increase their awareness of the various methods and forms of online gambling that are spreading through digital devices. According to police, involvement in such activities can not only harm individuals but may also affect their families and social relationships within the surrounding community.The awareness campaign is part of police efforts to implement preventive measures at an early stage. By improving public awareness, police hope residents will recognize the risks associated with online gambling and take steps to avoid activities that could result in harm and financial losses.
On the occasion, the officers also called on residents to actively participate in maintaining security and public order in their communities. The role of residents is important because they are closest to various activities taking place in their respective neighborhoods."Residents are urged not to try or participate in any form of gambling, including online gambling, and to inform the police if such activities are found," an officer from the Seunagan Timur Police said.
