SAWEU SIKULA PROGRAM: The Aceh Tengah Police provide students at several schools with education on preventing juvenile crime, drug abuse, online gambling, and bullying in the educational environment through the Saweu Sikula program.

ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Aceh Tengah Police continue to strengthen efforts to prevent juvenile delinquency through the Saweu Sikula program. On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, police officers visited several schools across the Aceh Tengah Regency as part of the initiative.

The program represents a strategic step by the police to strengthen the character of the younger generation and protect students from various negative influences. These include drug abuse, online gambling, bullying, and other forms of inappropriate behavior that could potentially harm their future.

The Saweu Sikula educational program was conducted simultaneously at four schools, namely SMK Kesehatan Dedingin 1001 Takengon, MAN 2 Aceh Tengah, SMP IT An Nazah Bebesen, and SMAN 11 Takengon in Atu Lintang District. Hundreds of students participated in the activities, which focused on character development, legal awareness, and preventing various forms of youth delinquency.

Police Promote Values, Character Building, and Legal Awareness

At SMK Kesehatan Dedingin 1001 Takengon and MAN 2 Aceh Tengah, the Saweu Sikula program was led by Ps. Kaur Bin Ops Satbinmas Polres Aceh Tengah, AIPTU Supiandi Cibro, S.H., together with members of the Satbinmas Polres Aceh Tengah.

During the activities, students received education on national awareness, ethics, morality, the dangers of drugs, the risks of online gambling, and the negative impacts of bullying in both school and community environments.

In addition to providing knowledge about the dangers of negative behavior, Satbinmas officers encouraged students to develop strong personalities, maintain discipline, and achieve their goals through education.

The awareness campaign aims to strengthen students' ability to make the right decisions in their daily lives and prevent them from being easily influenced by environments that may harm themselves or others.

Hundreds of Students Participate Enthusiastically in Awareness Activities

The Saweu Sikula program was also held at SMP IT An Nazah Bebesen. Bebesen Police Chief AKP Dasril, S.A.B., together with his team, provided educational outreach to approximately 130 students.

The material focused on preventing drug abuse, bullying, and various forms of juvenile crime. The police also opened an interactive dialogue session, allowing students to ask questions and share their views regarding problems they encounter in the school environment.

The enthusiasm of participants was evident during the discussion session. Students actively participated and asked questions about how to protect themselves from negative influences and create a safe and comfortable learning environment.

A similar activity was also carried out at SMAN 11 Takengon in Atu Lintang District. The Head of the Atu Lintang Police Unit, IPTU Sutejo, S.H., provided education to 99 students about juvenile crime and the dangers of drug abuse.

The participants followed the presentation attentively and actively engaged in the question-and-answer session. Through this educational approach, the police hope students will gain a better understanding of the legal and social consequences of violating regulations.

Police Support Students as an Integrity-Based Future Generation

Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., through Public Relations Head AKP Rasimin, stated that the Saweu Sikula program is part of the police commitment to remain present in educational environments and serve as partners in developing a young generation with strong character, integrity, and respect for the law.

According to him, the presence of police officers in schools is not only aimed at providing legal knowledge but also at building positive communication with students. This allows students to have a reliable place to seek guidance and develop a proper understanding of various social challenges in today's society.

Through this program, the Aceh Tengah Police hope students will become role models in their school environments, use technology responsibly, stay away from drugs, avoid bullying and online gambling, and work together to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning atmosphere.

The Saweu Sikula program is a form of police commitment to early prevention efforts. Through direct educational activities for students, the Aceh Tengah Police seek to build a young generation with positive character and the ability to face future challenges. (IDNC)
