JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Professional and Security Affairs Division (Bid Propam) of the Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) conducted a disciplinary and order inspection (Gaktibplin) involving personnel of the Jambi City Police (Polresta Jambi). The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen discipline, improve internal supervision, and ensure that all police personnel carry out their duties in accordance with applicable regulations and professional ethical standards.
The Bid Propam Polda Jambi team conducted the inspection on Friday, October 3, 2026, at the Polresta Jambi headquarters. The operation was directly led by the Head of Bid Propam Polda Jambi, Senior Police Commissioner Robert Antoni Sormin, S.I.K., accompanied by members of the Bid Propam team. The Head of the Propam Division of Polresta Jambi, AKP Budi Swarto, S.H., also attended and assisted in the inspection.The officers carried out comprehensive checks on police personnel. These included inspections of personal appearance, the completeness of official documents, and mobile phone usage. In addition, the team conducted examinations and urine tests to identify potential drug abuse among police personnel at an early stage.
As part of the Gaktibplin operation, the Bid Propam Polda Jambi team inspected the appearance and uniform compliance of all police personnel. The checks focused on ensuring that officers' appearances complied with applicable service regulations and that all personnel maintained the required standards of discipline, neatness, and professionalism in wearing their uniforms.
In addition to appearance checks, the officers also examined the completeness of personal documents and official police identification cards (Kartu Tanda Anggota/KTA Polri). This administrative inspection was intended to ensure that every officer possessed valid identification and complete official documents while performing their duties.The Bid Propam team also inspected the mobile phones of individual police officers. This measure was intended to prevent possible involvement in online gambling, the use of illegal online lending services, and the misuse of social media in ways that could damage the reputation of the police institution.
The inspection of communication devices was one of the main focuses of the operation. This was prompted by the fact that rapid digital development has created various opportunities for violations that could undermine both personnel discipline and public confidence in the police.Through these checks, Bid Propam Polda Jambi aims to ensure that all police personnel use their communication devices responsibly and refrain from activities that violate service regulations or applicable laws.
He emphasized that internal oversight is an essential component in maintaining discipline and professionalism among officers when delivering public services.
He stressed that every police officer must uphold personal integrity, comply with applicable regulations, and avoid all forms of misconduct that could harm themselves or damage the reputation of the institution."Gaktibplin reflects the police institution's commitment to internal reform. We want to ensure that no police personnel are involved in online gambling, drug abuse, illegal online lending activities, or other disciplinary violations. If any violations are identified, we will take firm action in accordance with the applicable regulations," Kombes Robert emphasized.
As part of the continued supervisory measures, the Bid Propam Polda Jambi team proceeded with examinations and urine tests involving Polresta Jambi personnel. The purpose of these tests was to detect potential drug abuse among police officers at an early stage.The initiative also demonstrates that internal supervision is not limited to physical appearance and the completeness of administrative documents. It also covers personnel conduct and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Bid Propam Polda Jambi considers Gaktibplin one of its internal guidance and supervisory instruments for preventing violations before they occur. Through continuous monitoring, all officers are expected to fulfill their responsibilities and maintain the public trust associated with their police service.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of Polresta Jambi, IPTU Edy Haryanto, stated that the entire leadership of Polresta Jambi fully supports the Gaktibplin operation conducted by Bid Propam Polda Jambi.
He explained that the initiative represents a joint effort to strengthen discipline while safeguarding the police institution's reputation in the eyes of the public. Regular inspections are also necessary to ensure that all personnel comply with regulations and carry out their responsibilities professionally."We at Polresta Jambi fully support this initiative. Thank God, the inspections conducted have shown that Polresta Jambi personnel are generally disciplined, with no serious violations identified," stated AKP Budi Swasta.
The inspection results indicate that Polresta Jambi personnel generally complied with disciplinary regulations, based on the findings of the Gaktibplin checks conducted during the operation.
